| Hi ppl,
anyone played at Austin Hills golf course before? Any review on the place? Saw that they have a sunday PM promo for $105+ rm which is damn cheap. Thinking of playing this sunday.
Anyone care to share some info if you have played there.
thanks! | |

| i do not know about your handicap, as for me, a handicap of 24, and playing from the blue T... is a challenge. I loss count of the loss balls that incure when i played there the 1st time. Some of the greens are unreal, slick and fast with undulating slope...
if you are a beginner... take my advice, bring lot of balls or best don't play there, very demoralising... jus my2cents
Other may find it an easy course though.

| It's a damn challenging course.. I quite like the environment though.. Just take it lightly as you played. 1st time I lost over 10 balls.. 2nd time just less than 10balls.. I find 2 difficult thing in the course.. 1st, Green is either uphill or downhill.. 2nd, Green is damnnnnnn freaking slopy... Over putt would roll the ball out of green.. My 2nd time play there, I had several GIR but 3 to 4 putts.. Exasperating but just enjoy lah... | |

| i used to play regularly at austin hills years ago.
there are 2 x 18 holes there.. A (older) and B (newer)
'A' course is much shorter than 'B', but the greens for both course is not easy to read.
Losing of balls is a very common sight there, so do bring more balls when are playing there for the initial rounds.
generally, the course layout is nice and challanging... course condition i am not too sure how it is now as i have not played there for years.
a also a big clubhouse and nice bathing facilities to go with....

| the holes are divided into hill and austin. Right now only have 3 9s. The austin courses are very tricky in the green and a lot of downhill putts. The fairway is easier.
The hill course has big greens but unfortunately a lot of tight doglegged fairways.
Course is not in superb condition but it is certainly in playable conditions after the reworked.

| one thing to keep in mind - bring more balls, period...
think hill course got many tress and hilly, so there's some hole actually u can "cut" the drive then let the ball roll down from the hill....
austin has lots of water hazzard if i not mistaken....
one common comment abt these course are their koropok greens... super fast, super break and super big... 3 putts r no disgrace and 4 putts is very possible....

| ya lots of water hazards.... seems like over 10 water hazards out of 18holes. I usually play at resort and austin 9 holes.
Some water hazards are real big.. a big pond.. If you take your score easy, it's quite a fun place to play..
Just that the 3 and 4 putts are damn demoralising for me...

| Last played there 2 years ago, ( played at least a doz times since it opened in the late 90s? ) Fairways, and greens were really bad. Didnt lose any balls, didnt use driver for most holes. Won't be going back till conditions improve. | |

| beside austin, any other course to recommend? Horizon is alittle pricey. Was looking at a course which we haven't played.
We have played at Palm, Lengends, Pondorosa, Daiman.
