| I am more familiar with Titleist golf balls' characteristics. Anyone can fill up the equivalent or comparable Bridgestone and Nike golf ball models? Able to have simple write-up on their characteristics if u have played them? S/N | Titleist | BridgeStone | Nike | 1 | Pro V1x | B330 | One Tour | 2 | Pro V1 | B330S | One Tour D | 3 | NXT Tour | e6+ | ?? | 4 | NXT | e7+ | ?? |

| I played the all the balls listed except for the e6+ and e7+, so cannot compare the NXT(s). Both the Titleist and Bridgestone play very similar but not the Nike(s) - at least that's how I felt. Other may disagree..... | |

| Anyone has played the new TM Penta (5-layer) ball? According to some reviews, it is "similar" to Pro V1s but at a lower price. Anyone care to comment? | |

| I have now tried both BridgeStone e6 and B330S and i am really impressed by both these models. Both have very good ball flight and e6 boost my confidence to have a straighter ball flight. B330S really feel like Pro V1.
Bought 4 more boxes from World of Golf as B330 is going for $59 per box. hahaha... guess i will be sticking to these two balls for some time

I tend to agree with this...i've used ProV1s to Pinnacles and i haven't seen a lick of difference in my score..I'm a 12 h'cap with a really funky swing who gets by on course mgmt rather than great shots so perhaps i'm just incapable of taking advantage of technology...after all, i can't spin the ball or have it stop on a dime....having said that, when faced with a 150m carry over water, the last though i want running through my head is the fear of losing a $6 golf ball...so i'll stick to my top flite gamer / noodle+ golf ball

| wah Bro Golffool2009, wat coincidence.....I share the same as you...only diff is that the ball I used are 2nd hand.
But there is one exception....that is when I used the Titlest Ball with liquid inside it....tat one , I swear it really travel miles as compared to what I used previously (Disclaimer: tat was back in 2006)

You are cool calculative and rationale. I like you more. Come on guys. Listen to some old timers. If you are a beginner who still can't hit your driver consistently, don't waste money trying to buy technology. Go use the money intending to spend on new expensive balls and drivers and spent it on a coach instead.

| I have tried quite a lot of golf balls, from the really cheap maxfli (during GN crazy sale), to various forms of noodle, srixon, tour special, titleist, bridgestone, top flite ... basically whatever is on sale or what i sometimes find in the rough. Sometimes new, sometimes 2nd hand.
Some feel harder, some softer. Can't really comment which ball flies straighter cos I think that is more related to my swing rather than anything else.
The only ball I have ever felt a clear difference is the Pro V1. It obviously has more spin and the ball checks more aggresively, especially around the greens. Found 1 in the rough at MBGC, played it for 22 holes before I finally lost it to the water after shanking a shot.
After I got used to how the ball releases slightly differently, I did feel that my short game was getting better, and made more up and downs. As for putting, maybe psychological, but I was putting very nicely with it.
That being said, it is a really pricey ball. And as for scoring, there was no real difference. Maybe it is because my irons shots seemed slightly more wayward, however, I am not sure if it is due to the ball or (more possibly) the swing. After all, I only played the ball for slightly more than 1 round of golf.
Guess what I am trying to say is that when I compare a Noodle vs Titleist NXT vs Tour Special, I really don't see any difference in the ball flight or release. But, while I do see one with the ProV1, it does not really help my scoring, probably because I have not hit the skill level to fully utilize it.
Maybe one day I'll be good enough to use the 2 sleeves given to me for my birthday.

| totally agree ! i am a Pro V1 & ProV1X supporter.... i have tried other brands , nothing gives a solid distance and stops on green, not even Titleist NXT... nevertheless, i used Pro V only in important games. Social games..... any brand can do la.. | |

| I have tried Bridgestone e7, true as it advertised lower more penetrating flight. Can feel Pro V1 feel is good but haven reach e stage to truly appreciate it.
