| you can sign up to be a volunteer for SPCA. will help them with daily work like picking up shit or cleaning the "rooms" for the dogs, answer phonecalls. etc.
I wanted to adopt a husky before but the attitude of the volunteer/staff sucks. Once she heard its not a landed property, she straight away says no and brush you off by saying they will call you.
As much as they want to find a good home for the dogs, they should keep a open mind.
For the sake of the dogs, I would still say go and have a look. mongrels are not bad either

Assuming in live in a condo, it is usually as big as a HDB,t he dog will not have space to "move around". If your dog is active like mine, bouncing on and off the sofa, chasing one another around the house (I got 2 small terrier type dogs), you will start to understand why larger dogs need larger space. I dont think i need my dog to find abandoned balls, only need to help to track my balls, especially when they go under some bush. haha.

| Well, now I have two golden retrievers at home. they are bigger than huskies but have no problem in the house.
The whole think abt the dog needs space is a bit of misleading. If taking husky as an example, they are working dogs. They can cover miles in a day... landed is still too small for them.
As long as the owner bring them out for walk twice everyday (depends on breed), it is ok for them to stay in condo

| Most owners don't even walk their dogs... Half the time is the domestic helpers which do it!!!
I try to walk my dog bout 4 times a week... But usually she rather sleep as she spends the afternoon bouncing off the walls in house and running around the garden and being chased by my niece!!!
So when am home... its more like... Ahhhh!!! Finally some rest

| That's because someone already make her exercise... dun really understand when you say she bouncing off the walls.... could be due to frustrations....
For my dogs, once they hear the sound from the leash, they will get up from their sleep immediately

For my dogs, once they hear the sound from the leash, they will get up from their sleep immediately She loves to run and slide on the flooring at home... so i call it bouncing off the wall due to the fact that the only way she can stop is by crashing into the wall. She too hears the leash and it up immediately Sometimes i find her irritating... she knows what days i go to work and which days i don't due to the clothes i wear... also she seems to know which days are her outing days

| My wife and I found this gem at the Singapore SPCA almost 4 years ago. Eats more than my wife and I combined and still fit as a fiddle with plenty of exercise, walks, games and toys. Smart, intelligent and more than a little fearless. Love's people, cats, bugs, birds, lizards, fish etc, but ain't too keen on other canines. In fact that's why she ended up in the SPCA...........didn't play well with other children (read dogs). If you have the space, that's fine...and it really doesn't take much for most. What's more important in my view is that you are willing and dedicated to giving the pup daily exercise, love and affection. Cheers, KT [img] [/img] | |

| If I ever ran across something like this.......one of us would end up looking like "Mochi" and it wouldn't be me and it certainly wouldn't be the pup..........To me this is a Capital Offense and should be treated as such. | |
