| The Zen Oracle itself is a great training tool. It takes out all the guessing of putting right. My 13-year old was very fortunate to meet the right man with the right words 1.5 years ago - "i" converted from his redwood anser to Zen Oracle RDE mallet and within weeks, we saw his putting scores improved. About 4 months back, my 7-year old also started to use Zen Oracle RDE mallet. Its a breeze teaching her to putt. I practically left her to work with her personalised ZEN (thanks to GolfAmigo) and within minutes, she could tell why she was not getting the ball into the hole. Self-corrected by using the training hole on her ZEN Oracle RDE mallet. Now, comes ZEN-i - an attachable training gadget to do the same. Personally, i have been training with "i" s ZEN mallet to deal with my putting yips & tempo. But i jus' cannot take the look of the mallet shape. Well, now i have the BEST of BOTH worlds - ZEN-i on ZEN Zac Having tested both, all i can say is ... If you have yips, get ZEN-i If you have deceleration problem, get ZEN-i If you have issue with your putting tempo, get ZEN-i If you are struggling to teach your young kid putting, get ZEN-i ... Experience the DEADLY combo - ZEN PUTTER with ZEN-i ... I believe we won't need to shop for putters anymore !!! DGMan, with ZEN Oracle, we were already getting it RIGHT. Now with ZEN-i, we can only get BETTER & BETTER... WAT PUTTING WOES ?!?!?! Cheers, ethee | |

| boss. i haven't been able to practice on the greens but I brought the Zen-i to KL last week. Rolled putts on carpet on most nights..and played a round last Saturday.
The impact for me was seen primarily on short putts. I had a noticeably smoother tempo and hence the feeling at impact was less clicky, which I like! I didn't miss as many short putts as usual. I just tried to keep the same tempo as what the Zen-i forced me to have during practice. It made things simple, only one stroke thought (well maybe two, with keeping head still).
However, I wasn't able to keep to the 30 back-70 fwd tip..mainly kept same back-fwd motion most times. Effect on long putts were not noticeable yet.
I'll practice at the greens this weekend, do lag putting, gate putting etc and give more update.
Think I will keep it, can I?

| Pushslice, I noticed too the immediate positive impact the Zen-i had on putts from 1.5 metres in, much less tendency for me to manipulate the stroke with my hands.
The other positive I'm noticing now is how well the ball tracks for me now on breaking putts because of the proper release down the line of aim. No sidespin to influence the ball away from its line, which has been an issue for me and most golfers I suspect. (ever notice how you prefer putts that break one way but not putts that break the other way?)
Twice I had breaking putts during my recent round, both were deadly, one severely breaking downhill, the other uphill.
The downhill putt was a cannot stop no hoper, either put it in the cup or end up almost off the green. When I lagged it, I was horrified to see it start to steam roll dowhill, unbelievably, the ball tracked right over the center of the cup. At the speed it was going, anything other than centre would have lipped out. The ball rattling the bottom of the cup was one sweet sound.
The uphiller was even more spectacular, taking a parabolic arc towards the hole, everyone thought it was in, then everyone thought it was out, as the ball slowed to a stop on the hole's high side, right on the lip. It hovered for a good half second, then did the slow motion gravity tumble reminiscent of Tiger Woods' par 3 16th hole chip in at the Masters. I couldn't contain myself and haven't shouted that loud on the course in very long time. It was such a thing of beauty to see it tumble in for a birdie. My flightmates couldn't stop talking about how it was the perfect lag. I just couldn't believe how sexy it looked to me.
Training with the Zen-i almost gives me foresight, cos I now have the confidence to know once the putt is halfway to the hole, whether I had the right line for it to have a good chance of falling in to the cup. And that my friends, is an amazing feeling I have only ever felt once or twice by sheer chance. Now, I can make it happen regularly with this no-muss-no-fuss pocketable-take-anywhere-with-me device that is the the Zen-i. There isn't an easier to use putting training device around.
Saying the Zen-i is worth its weight in gold is an insult since it weighs a gnat's breath. It's worth the weight of an SC collectable. Ok la... too much, the weight of a Zen putter..

| @WMF, Zen putter is oredi tokong, train with the Zen-i training aid, when you get the stroke right, no horse run one. It's like Batman and Robin, together, they are a dynamic duo.
@ Weich, you are right, it's the putting training aid that attaches easily to any blade putter with just a rubber band. Cheapest and most convenient way to upgrade your stroke. No need to lay down any chopsticks, just attach and go.

| I was quite adamant in waiting for the Zen ZUN (the name I suggested to DGMan if Zen is releasing the L-Neck putter - similar to what Ben Crenshaw is using). But looks like it will never happen)
Now with all this poisons and my recent increase in my 3-putts, I am starting to "itch".
