| I decided to upgrade to OS4 (4.0.1)last nite and happily tried my apps to ensure everything are working fine.. cools everything work as usual and I left for my bed time.. next morning, I was wondering why the alarm clock on my phone didn't Buzz, I tried to press any button but it didn't respond, i then plug to a charger to see what could happened, well ..upon connecting to the charger it show the battery was flat!! I didn't make any changes on my setting..I'm not sure if it has changes anything also.. Does anyone have the same issue ?? | |

| Mine seems okay... Notice that if i turn off my 3G & Cellular Data at home at use the WiFi my battery actually lasts longer
I think Singapore's 3G network isn't that good... so the handset sometimes will keep searching for a 3G signal thus causing the battery to run out faster.
Not sure of your situation and the 3G signal but maybe the update is to address the "wrong code" that Apple had written for the signal strength

You shd try Indonesia 3G !! 1. It drains your Battery life more than 30% overnight (comparing to 10% in Singapore) 2. Download and upload speed is about 2-10 per sec. Yes. 2-10 BYTES per sec. Most of the times it timed out. 3. Most of the times, it couldn't even get 3G, and instead it get Edge or GPRS. Totally useless.... But on the main subject, IOS4.0.1 I'm fine with the batt life...

| Home button is the only button below the screen (with square mark). Double click it and it will show list of apps that are suspended at the bottom of the screen. Press and hold any of the apps until the minus sign comes up and fully close the apps by pressing the minus sign. | |

| I was also adviced to reduce the brightness button to about 1/3. The iphone will auto light up when there is insufficient light thus no harm done and power is saved. My contribution ha ha. Also when out of Singapore please switch off Data Roaming or you will be hit with enormous charges when the bill arrived. I was in Bintan Lagoon for 3 days 2 nights and because of ignorance, my bill for that holiday was 98 bucks for nothing.

Bro when I signed on the maximum data package, I was only told you pay maximum $36 per month for internet usage and not informed about oversea charges on Data Roaming. When I got the bill, I called them up and gave them a piece of my mind. In the end, they only charged me $41 for this $98 charge. But I was still fuming for not informing customers of this extra charge when overseas. Just like th eguy who was charged $1200 for the fish. I got 50% off but he got only 15%. Had it been the same situation of the fish with my wife, I think they will kneel down and pay her so that she won't caused a hoo ha there. She said that guy was a disgrace for been a Hongkie. My wife Hongkie just for info kekekkekekek.... titu

| I learned my lesson when telco introduced GPRS using your browser.. same situation and call to ask Telco, fortunately they waived off due to my phone setting.. so everytime I turn off that function before leaving the country... | |

| Actually when you set data roaming to off in the iPhone, all 3G, GPRS, edge will also be off.
Just make sure you turn all off for roaming.

| After upgrading to iOS4.0.1... the signal strength actually seem to be weaker than when my phone was on the original OS or iOS4.0. But no calls drop or whatsoever... so I didn't even bother to call apple.
Anyone experiencing the same like mine (using 3gs)

| I noticed that I don't get the notification of no network. Use to have this issue with 3.1.3. Signal wise.. don't see any different.. | |
