| I've tried the jap food once at the Canopy during lunch.
I sat at the sushi counter and i must say, pretty awesome food and service from the chef. But when you are outside, the level of service seems to be worlds apart.

| MY WORST DINING EXPERIENCE IS AT MBGC PERIOD!!!!!
After our game we decide to dine (7 paxs) at the canopy for simplicity and convenience to settle our due.... so we order food and couple of bottles of wine which total bill came out to be $280/-
While asking for the bill and at the same time, couple of guys asked for plain ice water(pub type) 3 cups of ice water infact, Guess wat they want to charge for that !!!! 50 CENTS for each cup! I was wondering where is the logic! spending $280 and no flexibilities or being service orientated and the best part we left about 4 dollars of loose change on the table!
I do understand why they should charge for water, just incase strays from the driving range go over for a free drinks.... but where the common sense and of flexibility.... guess they need to see JACK NEO movie .
I'm wondering if we were to flush the toilet more than once or shower more than 3 mins, will there be charges ????
Out come ? ... as usual i gave them hell !!!! have not been to canopy there since!
so guys beware !! if u asking for water!!!!

| HA ! i am glad i was not trying to be a difficult customer after all ! 1st bad encounter - the waiter came with the bill and asked for payment in the middle of my meal. Told them we were going to order dessert soon, they insisted we pay immediately. Why ? Oh becos' golfers eat and sometimes go off without paying. I was not even in golfing attire and was with my family. 2nd bad encounter - wanted to order food after a tourny that ended late. The waiter gave us menu. Ask him to take our orders, he asked us to go counter and order. The waiters and waitresses were all standing around at that time doing nothing. Go counter and order ? U kidding ! We walked out of course. I am making every effort not to eat at the Canopy anymore !!! I just hope someone from MBGC or Canopy management read this thread. Cheers, ethee | |
