good luck dude. My main problem was not practising on a grass range beforehand.. it was my first time hitting off grass and I just had this phobia of digging into the dirt... I did a practice swing on my first shot and dug out a chuck of dirt.. After that practice swing.. I never recovered...

Hmm i thought digging out dirt is pretty common as long as you patch it back later?

i hv phobia of digging into the dirt too so when i swing the club on actual grass i will have some hesitation...

u can try going to occ range at nite ard 10.30pm where the lights going off, then stand at the grass patch n hit some balls from the grass to practice... errmmm but if do dig out the grass then help to step it back bah.... Smile

turf city ground also not very soft (more sand than soil) but better than nothing. Took a few swings (maybe 10-15) with my black Nike VR wedge, removed almost all the coating, now is a rust bucket. This was a while back, still got $20 credit have not used since.

Best is Executive course noon timing (make sure no flight behind you, if got ppl, let them go first). When see nobody behind you, drop a few balls and practice :p. Good to practice those <100m shots. Can practice all kinds of shots on real course condition.

The ppl there dont really care however once suspect one gardener took one of my balls (cause i hit quite a few), held it behind him and ask me for a cigarette, which i dont have, so he kept the ball !!!
