I know Raymond personally and have nothing against him. I went with my friend 3 times but he's not in. We left message with the old Malay man that we want the club back if he can't re-shaft it and don't need to keep it so long. It's now 2 months since and still no news.

For information, the shaft just came loose, not broken so no new shaft required, just re-shafting. It's not very nice to keep a customer's club for so long and not do anything about it.

I know you guys are putting in some nice words for him but I am not accusing him of anything, just asking that the club be returned to my friend if it cannot be repaired, but that is also difficult as he is unavailable through phone. Each time we visited, the Malay chap would say he will call when Raymond is back, but unfortunately the elusive call has yet to be received.

Currently Raymond spends his Mondays to Saturdays at golf simply fesc from 3pm to 7pm

He is there almost on the clock. So if u wanna find him. He will be there

Thanks bro. I am not looking for him. Just want him to return the club to my friend if he has no time to re-shaft it. My friend is 63 years and need the 7w. If cannot re-shaft the right thing to do is return to owner and not hold on to it this long.

Is it the 10+ year Ping wood ? Saw it all fitted n ready for collection . Spoken to Raymond , said 7wd was ready 2 weeks already , waiting for owner to pick up

Bingo, that's the 7w. But the Malay chap said he will call after we visited him 3 times. The call never came. My friend called a few times and was told not ready.

Ray is a great guy IMHO. When he was younger, and when I was more "into" golf, we would spend hours fitting an iron set, together. WE would be camped at his Bukit Timah Plaza shop from 10pm till close to midnight working. Go kopi after that too.

Sometimes, his staff at the shop are just cautious and they need to check everything with him, and of course, when staff are part time etc, they tend to be "less involved" and forget most things.

He is humble and helpful alright. Possibly his assistant didn't or forgot to call my friend. But it's ok.

My friend shafted his irons wih kbs shaft at Raymond's. After about 2 mths, the shaft on his 7iron broke during range. Raymond replaced with a new shaft FOC since it is obviously a case of faulty equipment. And it only took 1 day to replace the shaft. My friend is so impressed, he decided to go back to Raymond for all his equipment needs.
