Would typically be excluded by virtue of floods being force majeure events but insurance companies may now have flood-related damage riders which I think can be purchased separately.

Hi Moon,

I just spoke to one of the insurers and they indicated that generally they would pay for such damages in Singapore. I would add a caution to check the policy that it is a comprehensive policy as there are some policies which would exclude losses from acts of gods.

That depend on what you've insured.. many insurance never cover "act of god"..
