| I must say that the shape of singapore looks funny... Doesn't look like the one I saw in my Primary Social Studies textbook. But yet again... That was eons ago. | |

| Actually Mr. X, I like it. But in my mind I am thinking beyond the only aspect of whether or not it looks nice, proportions, colors, meaning etc. I think how it's to be "used" also comes into play.
That being said, if there were a depiction of Singapore as an island/nation vice a detailed representation I think it would be more appealling for use outside the forum.
The other is I have a little twinge of resistance using symbols of the Singapore National Flag in any logo. Not saying it is either good or bad, just my personal preference and many, if not most possibly disagree.
I like it and pls take no offense. Positive suggestions are what I am proposing.
Cheers, KT | |

These are my entries
The first one has a little red dot to represent the country in which all of us gathers to interact.
The second one is the stylised symbol of a golf ball, the word golf is in grey. If you just look at the black symbol and the black word 'republic'. It will also form the word golf republic
The third one is made up of the composition of the little red dot as well as the golf ball. The golf ball is placed on top to symbolise higher importance. It connotes the the sport itself is more important than where we come from.
The fourth one contains elements of letters, G and R. Callaway inspired.
I be happy to hear everyone's opinion! Have a nice day ahead! bery nice! errr...I mean the designs

| Recruited by Jessica. I'm here to "chup-jit-ka"So let's not waste each other's time, here are my proposed designs. 1. Golf Republic typographically spelled out, O as a visual pun, showing a textured silhouette of a golf ball. You'd realize it's red ball and red line, i call it, Singapore Ball on a Singapore Land. 2. Personally preferred concept. If you guys are perhaps leaning towards a more prestigious image in the future, you should stick to logos that are less contemporary and more "class". Picked a serif font as the logotype, green silhouette of a man swinging a club, red dashed line. Why of course, it's the Singapore Swing! Green because it's the immediately image of a golf course. Red - Singapore. 3. Singapore Swing is the first thing you'd notice. The dash creates a feeling of motion, the impact of golf swinging. That's why it was emphasized. The fonts are much more contemporary, joined the 2 words intentionally to perhaps hint a bit of unity, like how this forum is a community of golfers. 4. A merged idea of 2 and 3, You get it. Jokes aside, I'd urge you guys to consider logos that are easier to apply to any and everything. Complication is not necessary the best. Theres a reason why the MacDonalds logo is the loudest in the industry. You'd notice i kept my colours subtle and serious. Don't think it suits the image of golfers to have pop colours. This community seems to be a more serious than fun one. Cheers and have a happy weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! p.s - keep swinging that stick yo. | |
