many thanks skybobo, noted the post from shorthitter about quality/positive practice, and I really took that to heart. People mention hard work, but i was curious how much "quality" hard work is required to make good progress (in your case). Currently doing similar practice routine so I guess I'm on a right course, except that I don't play often. Once a month, twice if i'm lucky Embarassed
Bro, going range is one thing.
I'm a bit crazy. I bought a camera and a camera stand.
I then do practice swing at home and film it an upload to V1 and do my own analysis.
I also do a lot of mirror work at home.
There is not a day where I did not swing a club.....my wife say I'm xiao...
But trust me, mirror work and video is important, what u thought u are doing may not be what you are actually doing unless u see it yourself

On going to course, if u can try to play at least once a week.
There are certain things that u will not learn in range like swinging on various different uneven lies like ball above/below feet, up/down/sidehill lies.......putting up hill, downhill etc

Alamak....any hope with the following:

1. How many holes did you play in a month?
1 x 18 holes ( max = 2 ...like this month)
2. How many hours/month you put in honing your long game at the range?
0 hours
3. How many hours/month you put in honing your short game?
0 hours...but if you include virtual simulation using mirror...then will be 2 hours a week
4. How many hours of pro lessons did you take?
0 hour......although I read the monthly golf magazine....

OK....I better tone down my expectation and be a realist.

Bro, Duval. We are quite similar.

1. How many holes did you play in a month?
1 x 18 holes.
2. How many hours/month you put in honing your long game at the range?
Mostly 0 hour for driver. Hitting short/mid irons maybe 1-2 hour/month.
3. How many hours/month you put in honing your short game?
0.5-1 hour. Including putting mat at home.
4. How many hours of pro lessons did you take?
0 hour. Never take lessons before.

Let's play together one day!! I also need to tone down my expectation but that seems harder than golf itself.

That makes the three of us. For the past one month 1 game, never go to Range. Supposedly go lesson, but but both the pro and myself are busy....

Wah Bro Dave and Taskie, never realize we are so similar...yeah, lets do a game soon...say late june or July (coz I have limited good shots and already struggling to spread between 2 games this month...hahah)

BTW, pls be patience with my play coz of my immense lack of range time and practise

I want to add that skybobo is my golf kaki and he has been using his super game improvement clubs and resisting to change equipment. So, for him, it is trully the case of the Indian and not the arrow.cheers

Me? I have not been practising as much, keep messing around with equipment, plays half the no. of rounds that skybobo plays and also count shorthitter as my coach...

I am glad to say that my swing change is also finally coming good under SH and i will practice my short game (properly) so that I got chance to win some money from skybobo (provided he gimme strokes).

Hope go chance to have this type of posting from myself in the near future!! Swing
