Hello! Couple beginners...

Hello people!

My hubby and I picked up golfing (after I insisted that we should learn something together, else marital life gets stagnant).
I can tell my hubby enjoys the lessons very much. Currently we are taking up lessons with Mr Lip Ooi @ Seletar Country Club.
After our lessons, we hope can find more khakis to play on the green together, always 2 of us will be quite boring!
Chanced upon this site while searching for feedback for some golf sets. Very glad that there is such a forum! Realli feed me with a lot of info.

No, I left shortly after I learnt that I cannot understand his angmo. me is hokkien pai one.

welcome to GR! My wife also wants to learn golf and we go to the range occasionally together. I'm hoping to go vacation with her 1 day playing golf together, perhaps we can hook up together next time forming couples' flights haha......

Oh, Lip can speak Chinese one! We converse in Mandarin sometimes.

Yes, encourage her to learn . Its good, cos both of us look forward to lessons weekly, then sometimes we will hang out at the cafe at the country club...
No problem about couples' flights, if u dun mind playing with us amateurs .

Great. Welcome. I also pushed my wife to learn and we started together. At least got things to do in the weekends.

I started BECAUSE of my wife, whose father's handicap is +1.
He said if i didn't play golf, i would not be allowed to marry his daughter.
I must be the luckiest of the lot! ahhahaha....

ahhahaa no mate, he lives in Canada (which is where wifey is from) and he used to play in the Canadian circuit. Not anymore though,... age caught up... well, it will with all of us..

cos i'd just started learning (~1mth+) havent sign up for lessons yet. only been to range for some driving so far. cos i'm worried that my 'heat' will only last 3mins. but so far i'm liking it! hahaha

my wife will b taking lessons after X'mas cos she's pregnant now.

so in e meantime, if u r needing 1 more pax to join flight, i dun mind. but be warned cos i havent started lessons yet. so confirm i'm more 'lan' than u 2.

Or you wait for your wife, then can both learn together!

yup yup agreed. i shld b going to sign up for lessons at OCC and start within this month
cos OCC is near where I stay n i drive there at least once to twice a week.

You can join me at Seletar , under Lip. The driving range is really quiet and very nice.
