I cannot say whether it is cheap or expensive unless you let me know which courses you are playing and which Hotel too ? Aug 7-9 are Sat, Sun and Mon ... If 3d2n stay, I presume you fly in Fri (play one weekday and Sat (played in weekend) and fly off on Sunday ?
I also presume you are saying US$700 ? The exchange rate it about Rp9,200 per one US$ .. $700 is about RP 6,440,000 today ... No transportation ? It appear on the high side. Hi Slicer51, I think it is S$ and not US$. I also received an email as well. The cost is between S$ 679 (2 rounds) - S$798 (3 rounds). The courses are Ciputra, Finna and Tamna Dayu. The fees covers transportation as well to and fro hotel. No mention of hotels. They have promotion for Jakarta, Bogor, Bali as well as Phuket (Bangkok) as well. FYI.

| Surabaya is one of my favourite golfing destination (after UAE of course).
Tamaan Dayu and Finna is very very pretty. Caddies very nice also. Very good price!!
If you itching for a quick fix (golf wise) can run over to Pakuwon for 9 hole action that runs into the night with floodlights.
Bro Slicer, you posted to Surabaya? My fren is a Singaporean residing there for the last 10 yrs. Director for Club mineral water. You migth wanna jio him out if you ran out of kakis

I do not mean trying to screw up anybody business here. I am sure going through agency for all arrangement will be less hassle and trouble, compare to doing on your own. Of course, it is going to be slightly expensive as they need to earn a living and stay in business.
If you all are seriously consider playing in Surabaya. I am willing to help since " I am the local snake here ". Please note that I am not earning anything out of this but feel like helping own country man. Thanks for your offier. Currently not planning any trip yet. Schedule a bit packed at the moment. Might extend the trip to there if I am on my trip to Jakarta though.

1) Most golf course prices separate member / member guest and walk in (usually foreigner). Obviously the prices for walk in will be the most expensive .. Sometime it is about 100 % more.
The different is, I know people and I can get member prices even I am not a member. If I book and pay for you on behalf before the game. You can go for member guest prices.
There were also golf voucher that I can get that cost you about more than 100% cheaper for green fees.
Not to mention, there were be promotion golf package from time to time that I knew, that you can take advantage on. For example, There is a promotion golf package now that you can play Darmo and Finna on weekday for only Rp600,000 (est SGD92.30). This prices included green fee, caddy fee, cart fee and tax & insurance. ( Term : need to be 4 balls )
Wow, 2 round of golfs for SGD92.30 .. "Where to get leh, bro" ...
2) For transportation : If you book through website or Hotel .. It is going to be expensive. Do like the local does .. book from local road side car rental .. much cheaper ( Most of car rental come with driver as they are also concern you going take their car back to Singapore
3) As for Hotel : I knew the bast location that near to all golf courses but might unable to get those prices compare given by the travel agent. However, do you know that there are different Hotel prices rate in Bali .. One is for foreigner and one is for local ? Thanks bro. I played in Bali quite regularly. Not only the hotel rates are different in bali. So are the green fees, there are 3 tiers, local, local (foreigner) and overseas. The last time I played there, the green fees I paid for is 3x that for my clients. Even the locals are complaining that it is more expensive than in Jakarta.. haha.. Will definitely pm you if I am going there. Maybe we can have a round or 2 together? Thanks again.
