Its ok A.... understood. Have exactly the same problems you are having now even now. I actually quite used to doing a walk-in as what I have been doing at MBGC now adays after dropping my wife to work at Raffles Place.
Waiting patiently to have a game with you soon when timing permits of course Cheerio mate.

The bungalows r great! We had 4 couples fit in comfortably then. Comez with a massive hall, swimminv pool, bbq pit and cart to drive ard! Check my review in overses game

Just to share: if any one is going to bintan lagoon for holiday , they r giving free voucher for every account register with journeyful (their authorize travel agent)

This voucher can redeem for free activity or discount for food . It could redeem for green fee too . Thus u need to pay 45 ( caddy n buggy) instead of 120 .

End of day , I play 3 days of jack Nicholas course .... Lol

I have planned another golf family stay with my biddies again, staying at the lovely and spacious Angsoka. I havent been there since 2010 and I noticed that is one new ferry operator arriving at BLT (Bintan Lagoon Terminal). New terminal? I was familiar with and thought that all ferries goes to BBT (Bintan Terminal).

So apparently the BLT is a dedicated new terminal that brings you direct into Bintan Resort. I heard it is less crowded and saves time through customs and all. Downside is the ferries have limited schedules  therefore less flexibility with golfers planning for a quickie

Heard also that the villas and bintan lagoon resort has been renovated recently?

Anyone has experience?

I'm playing there next weekend and can update the thread when I'm back. The whole family is going so I'm hoping the experience is as advertised. jurongtiger I wouldn't use "quickie" and ferry in the same sentence .

Please update course conditions as well, other than BLT ferry experience. Which accomodation would you be staying? Villa?

The BLT ferry takes 75 mins and arrives directly at bintan lagoon, it's their own single hull ferry service.

As far asi know, the property has just completed their reno n has added more food outlets

Just came back from a 3D2N first trip to Bintan Lagoon Resort. My family had a great time, I had great golf, and we will be going back as soon as work and school schedules allow. As a reference, my last overseas game was at New Kuta Bali last month, and my last golf resort stay was Outrigger @ Laguna Phuket last June.

The Golf: Played the Jack Nickalaus "Seaview" course. That's a  bit of a misnomer as the only real sea view is the Par 3 12th Hole... which now overlooks the ferry terminal on the right. On the left is Ria Bintan's Seaview 10th hole. Regardless, it is a beautiful course I'm looking forward to playing there again. It is well maintained. Only two greens needed attention and were getting attention. Fairways were mostly wide which I appreciate as a high handicapper. Better players will make or break their score on the second or third shots. Unfortunately the Bintan Open was on so I could only get in one 18H round... which leads me to practice facilties. They have a driving range with both mat and turf areas, a putting/chipping practice area, and a bunker practice area. The putting/chipping area has three levels of cut grass to simulate a variety of lies. As I was the only guy there the three times I visited, I was able to back out to 30 meters which was great practice for my short game.

The Hotel: Good rooms, good food, good activities for non-golfers. Our family of four opted for the Forest Suite with connecting Deluxe Seaview Room. The Deluxe has been recently renovated and was great. The Suite had not been renovated and was fine. If you go there thinking "4 Star" you will be pleasanly surprised. If you go there thinking "5 Star" you may be disappointed. The only scary moment was Sunday morning buffet breakfast, a peak demand event. Next time we'll hit the buffet early or late, not in the middle high demand period.

The Ferry: After checking in our bags at the TMFT on the way out we next saw them in our rooms. Awesome. It is a 90+ minute ride but the terminal is literally at the resort. On the way back, we walked from beer and burgers poolside to the ferry and once again our bags magically appeared on the other end. +1 for convenience.

Overall, a great experience and I look forward to my next visit. It is very expensive for what it is, but that is already well known.

Great review and I think you had a good time! So you used the new BLT terminal? For near is it from the resort? I am having the impression that you can just dump your luggage at the recep, sit at the lobby/cafe and walk 5 min to the terminal when your ferry arrives?

How big was your party? Do they have suite rooms with more than one bedroom?

I wld be heading that way to the villa stay in Bintan Lagoon next month
