Ria Bintan Ocean Course vs. Bintan Lagoon Jack Nicklaus Seaview Course

Any dudes here been to both?

How do they stack up in terms of
1) Course conditions
2) Landscaping, views
3) Price

In this order.

Heard more reviews abt Ria Bintan Ocean Course than the other.

1. Ria
2. Ria
3. Ria (meaning more $$$$$ than JN)

but if u are going there, just play on both.

Same opinion as Eiji RIA, RIA and RIA ....

i've been to both.. if given choice for only 1 out of these 2, i'll go for Ria.. definitely Ria..

Like Kat I have played in both courses and without a doubt I'll choose Ria. Looks like its easy for you to decide now.

JT, how long are u staying in bintan? if daytripper, then mayb RIA would be a better choice, but if longer, do check out bintan lagoon as well, esp IBF, challenging setup as compared to RIA.....

for RIA, the good views are from hole 7-10.... ask for a good caddy

I would be staying over for a night with a party of 8 pax!

Therefore, my consideration is not only golf course (actually it is but i cannot say out) but the comfort of the resort, beach, spa facilities for the wives (non golfers yawnsss)

I am booking a villa for the 8pax and therefore might be going for the Jack Nicklaus course in the resort for convenience.

The ferry booking though is a pain.

If I havent been to Pulai Springs 2 months ago, I wld definitely go back again cos it is so much more convenient and hassle free. OTOT..

actually, Ria not that far away from the bintan resort...

but if staying a nite, did u ask for the play n stay package....

also if staying at villa, u can bring your own food/wine for BBQ n pass the nite away....food there not cheap

played both course last end of March what i did was take the morning ferry arrived before lunch play ria bintan in the afternoon, stay over night at Bintan Lagoon then play bintan lagoon JN early morning....food is not cheap, the drinks...heheh... not as expensive as a 5 start hotel...but sometimes.... dont calculate and count... just give yourself a treat. i bring a cooler jug durring the play... since i dine at the resto... i ask the waiter to fill up the jug full of ice and H2O.
Ria is more picture perfect .... than Bintan lagoon been to a lot of resort... the place not bad... accomodation ..hmmm... room big enough...just ask for room not far from the main entrance...
the villas.... they look nice to me.... ...just got fustrated with the beach can't swin with the condition as waves to big
over all ... well Hybrid like the resort and golf...he said the 2 are cheaper than golf resort in the Philippines.

U can buy duty free alcohol at singapore ferry terminal.
