I would suggest the minimum of 5posts to be put in the FAQ so that users can check themselves rather than asking the administrator.

Less work for the administrator as well

And same goes to the min of 20posts to post a topic in marketplace. I think ppl will tend to look at the FAQ for quick answers first.

The rule is imposed because there have been cases of spammers who register an account and then send mindless messages to our users. This rule helps to prevent that. Besides, it also encourages users to spend some time on the forum before being able to communicate personally with others.

Hopefully, you'll realize that it's not so ridiculous after all.

every country/house has their own sets of rules and regulations. this forum is no different, if you aren't happy with the rules and regulations laid out here, you can choose not to visit this forum. otherwise please abide by the rules, they are made with good intentions for the enjoyment of all.

tanhs, we are a discussion forum and not a buy and sell forum. Strictly speaking, we do not welcome non-golfers who are here to make sale. Want to do a quick sale, pls go eBay and hardwarezone please.

We want to build a community and not be an advertisement board. Unlike motherhood forum or others which are commercial and receive advertising money, we are privately funded and volunteer staffed. We do have a vision for the forum which is to build a golfing community. Unfortunately, facilitating your easy sale is not part of our vision and priority. Sorry for the inconvenience and please respect our decision.

The amount of spam posts could be utterly uncontrollable if we don't implement this rule here. Even with this rule in place, we still have some spam post selling things or linking to a website that sells fake stuffs.

Go figure.

I was trying to figure out why I can't reply to pm when I stumble upon this thread. The reasons for having the requirement is understandable but its still a hassle tat we have to overcome.
