OCC Range

Great having a swing with you guys this morning. It was indeed a very comfortable morning to Zzzz, but it was even better to meet with new friends.

Birdman: There are those golf balls that light up also. But I heard they are as hard as the previous yellow coloured range balls at Toa Payoh.



Mizzy: Just look for new ProVs or DT Solos with "SW" written all over the balls.

Really ugly but I never have to determine if the ball is mine or another golfer's ball.

Besides, I still got four boxes of Titleist balls that were given to me gratis by Acushnet.

Perhaps if the right peeps decide to let me play in another night golf game at OCC, I might join if possible.

Today, I was at TPY.

There is a range staff there who is friendly and has good intentions I am sure, but gave me unsolicited advice about hitting straight and golf equipment options.

I dun mind but I was chatting with the cute F&B girl and taking a rest.

After he saw me hit a few to 180-190 metres and dead straight down the range, he started giving me advice about getting 'better' golf equipment. (I use 907/909 Titleist woods & Nike CCi irons and ProV1 golf balls.)

Then after he saw me whack a few balls within a three metre area at about 90 metres using my Nike CCi forged blade nine iron, he wandered away to 'bother' somebody else.

He kept asking me why I dun aim at the targets (and pay the extra money for the PlayGolf system). I said if I can hit straight at will, it's just a matter of determining average distances for each club.



No harm I suppose, but I wonder who trains people like him?

Yuki: Reason being that if I use my driver on the lower deck, I tend to brush/hit the overhead net, which is really disconcerting. Actually, it's bloody annoying. That's why I just go to the upper deck, which is a lot more spacious and airy.

Crystal: Heard about the early bird catching the worm? . Actually, I'm a morning person (it's an age thing) and just like to get out there early. Going to OCC when it's empty and cool first thing in the morning and hitting balls repetitively, is almost meditative and zen for me.

hee , i can wake up as early as 5am to go n play at course but not for range leh ....
