| Did you guys see the official give Cristie Kerr a free drop on hole 17? The reason was because of the red ants on the cable?
Personally I feel she had a BIG advantage from the free drop.... if she wins the cup I feel so sorry for Ai Miyazato...

| the rules official deem it was a free drop, so she gets a lucky break | |

| It is entitled under USGA Rules 33-8/22 and Decision 1-4/10 which allows the player to take a free drop within 1 club length of the nearest point of relief from the danger, without being nearer to the hole. This rule was highlighted in March's issue of Golf Magazine.
PS: just checked the leader board on LPGA.com and it looks like she Bogied the 17th Hole

| Heard commentator saying she got relief for the red ants and not for the cable. Funny ruling. thankfully Ai won by 2 strokes in the end. Banzai! | |

| If I heard the commentator right, they mentioned the place she stand at is near a nest of red ants... thus the free drop... | |
