| Hi there, I can't decide on which set. Hope to gather some feebacks from the forum.
Also, I m a social player but standing at 1.86m. Do you think I should get a fitted G15 from Ping? Does Mizuno has any custom fitting in Singapore.
Looking forward to your advises.
Thanks. | |

| mizuno fitting can be done at Golf House Suntec or Marina.
Whichever set, you have to go hit them and decide for yourself, i am using the mizunos mx200 but have hit the G15 irons, and they are forgiving and easy to hit, the mx200 has better feel due to it being forged. Best to go for demo days and try them out. or Ask to try them out at Golf House.

| I've not tried the G15s but I'm in love with Mizuno's forged irons. I'm using the MX-300 and I think they're amazing. The MX-200, I hear, are just as good. I'd recommend them based on that but the caveat remains: I've not tried the G15 so have no basis for comparison save for my preference for Mizuno's forged irons | |

| Anybody has any idea how much it will roughly cost for a fitted mizuno mx200 with say.. Stiff graphite shaft?
As I m 1.86m at height, do u think e standard mizuno set will fit me?
What if I get a used mizuno set, any recommendation that I can have them fitted for me?
Sorry for all these questions. Please help advise. Many thanks.

| Doubt it. I think you'll need to visit an external club fitter. | |

| TS = threadstarter or Technospaz?
Anyway, you needn't go to Big Fish. You can go to any clubfitter which is convenient for you. If Big Fish is convenient, great. If not, some other club fitter could get your clubs fitted for you too.

No. Just new to club fitters. I always buy my clubs off the shelves.

| then my solution is simple... u like ping or u like mizuno?? u should go for the brand or the club that you prefer first rather than worry about club fitting first. if anything, ping holds high second hand value. that is what they say. mizzies... nuff said. | |

| My first set of clubs were Pings. What I realized then is that Ping clubs are very forgiving but that was years ago. That said, I believe they are still great clubs today. I was hesitant to pick up the Mizunos. I was playing the Callaway X-20s before that but once I tried the Mizunos, I loved the feeling of the forged irons. They were amazing when hit right. The MX-300s are less forgiving than the MX-200s so I think the MX-200s are a great buy, especially if you can get them for around $1-1.2k with fitting. I guess what makes a big difference is also the fitting. Like you, I bought my X-20s off the rack. No fitting. With the MX-300s, I got them fitted. They felt a lot better because the lie of the club was adjusted. I feel that I can hit a straighter shot with the MX-300s. And like I said, when hit right... the feeling is great - smooth and buttery Deciding between the Ping and Mizunos is not an easy choice. Given that they're both good clubs, perhaps MC's approach of picking the brand you prefer may be a good approach. This assumes, of course, that they are the same in terms of price. | |

| Thank you all for your kind advices. I tried a forged iron and the feel is addictive...makes you want to keep hitting sweetspots. That's why I thought of Mizuno - the master in forging. But I doubt the fitting.
I wanted to try Ping because of their proven fitting history but it is cast not forged.
Tough choice.
Will try the 2 clubs and talk to the respective dealers before I decide.
Appreciate all your feedbacks!

| Ping fitting cart looks great.......in pictures. Have not seen the fitting cart here. Mizunos have shaft optimizer to help pick out the suitable shaft. That leaves lie and length and grip for the fitter to sort out | |
