| Hi all
recently a friend of mine mentioned of Miura iron, and personally I have heard of it about 1 yr ago, and i also know where these iron are available.
I did not really have any oportunity to try out these iron.
I'm not sure whether has this topic being discuss before.
Anyway, wonder anyone had tried these iron and care to share their experience with these iron ?
I'm mainly helping a friend to find out more.
Thank you so much

| I have a set of Miura Giken MB-5003 muscleback blades shafted with KBS Tour S-flex shafts and I can honestly say that they are the best feeling irons I have ever played. Despite my high handicap, they are remarkably forgiving, and inspiring at setup with a thin topline. It helps that the KBS tour shafts have a softer tip, so the overall feel is buttery. I'm not someone who can control fade/draw, but these irons have been remarkably easy to manage, and while I can probably get another club length or two in distance from playing the new R9 TP irons, I'm playing these just for the pleasure of the feel. My irons history are as follows: Nike Forged Blade w/ DG S300 shafts Honma LB-280s with DG S300 shafts Titleist DCI 990 with DG S300 shafts KZG Forged Z0 with TT TX-90 S flex shafts Mizuno MP32 with DG R300 shafts Mizuno MP14 with DG S300 shafts Taylormade TP MB with Rifle 6.0 shafts Taylormade RAC (MB Miura-forged) with PX 5.0 shafts Taylormade RAC (MB Miura-forged) with Project 6.0 Satin shafts King Cobra Pro MB with PX 5.0 shafts Cleveland CG1 Black Pearl with TDG S300 shafts I'm looking to get another set of MB-5003s and plan to replicate my current setup | |

| In my case, I've been lucky enough to get a good combo on my first set, so the 2nd set will be based exactly on my 1st set, i.e. get heads, then get the shafts I prefer (i.e. KBS Tour stiff) and my fav grips (Golf Pride Full cord)
I don't think Miura typically sells them pre-assembled. See Tourspecgolf.com, and you can buy them for around USD975 for heads only, then add extra for your choice of shafts. KBS is not an option, but you can get them fitted at DGman's shop if he has KBS in stock

| Tried them and never really liked them. I might be the only one here who prefer an MP68 over these Miuras... | |

I don't want to poison you in any way but like I have posted in another thread, PLEASE DON'T touch the Miura's. And I mean DO NOT! You will and you WILL have countless sleepless night and perpetual bad and moody days until you acquire it! It is that good!
I have not looked back since.

| desyjean: Yes tried it but I would post a word of caution on this one. It's sort of like going to someone's house with a 'Cost No Object' high-fi based around the Rockport Sirius III, Gaku-On and Wilson WHAMM; when all you have at home are Mission Speakers, an Arcam integrated amp and a Marantz CD player. After listening to the reference rig, your own set becomes unlistenable.
Same analogy for Miura. Kinda hard to go back once you try it. I have and now I can't get it out of my mind!

As for their price, again, relatively reasonable as compared to others and you get a very very good set for slightly more than the Big names in golf. Been there done that!

| Agree that bag-for-the-buck, they aren't as expensive a toy as say... a car or stereo. Truth be told, a set shouldn't cost you more then S$ 3000. In SIN, S$3000 buys you....
1. 1/10 of a COE. 2. Gas in SIN for 9 months. 3. Green fees for 8 months. 4. 6 slap up meals at Iggy's with wine.
Hence, quite a reasonable expense...

| Don't buy in Singapore. If you are patient enough hunt around ebay and some times and I meant some times you get it for a song, shipped! That's what I did. Wait and wait and finally the right one came along and then you are screwed! | |
