Handicap

it's so confusing to get the golf handicap, there are some who claim you can pass your handicap in 3mths(from a newbie) to some who insist you can't play below 55(for men handicap) following all golf rules in a year even if you play twice a month!

What's the average time one need to be able to play under 55? Thanks

Just like there are many Uni around this world....some you need staight A to enroll, some...errr.....but all are Uni...

Bottomline, is which do you want yourself to associate to? I for one am pondering how to keep my HC at its highest....hehehehe

As for score wise, it varies....variables include investment in hours, talent, equipment and whole lot more.....I think Tiger did it when he was very berry young

There is no fixed time frame as to how long a person will need to get his/ her H'cap card. It really depends on how much time and effort you want to put into this game.

There is no point rushing to grab a H'cap if you are not playing a decent game (e.g. if you keep hitting air shots or hitting the grass & mud further than your ball) because you simply will not enjoy the game.

My suggestion is... if you can hit a decent round of golf with a score of around 95-100, it is a good time to consider getting your H'cap card done.

think the 55 is for 9-hole...otherwise no HC for most mortal liao
