| Hello all, Does anybody know why is there a sudden surge of golfers at EGC on Sunday morning between 10am-11am? For the past 2 weeks, there's like at least 10 pax queueing up to tee off and the thought of waiting in queue really puts me off. Prior to this, I go EGC almost every Sunday and have never encountered such long queues before. It does look abit like some form of golf gathering / outing going on but I can't confirm as after seeing the long queue, I immediately U-turn and go to JCC for an exec game. It'll be helpful If anyone can help shed some light on this so that at least I can save some time on transportation and go straight to JCC instead though it's further from my place. Thanks ! | |

| EGC is always super packed. especially on wkends .. because they are the cheapest and does not require any form of PC or handicap to play. thus there are many beginners there.. thus many flood there..
Yeah, i also hate that. Whenever i go to EGC, i would want to go on course, but its always like so packed..
try to go between 5 to 6.. not many people ..

| I try to go around 11am cos it's usually hotter / starting to get hot so there's not that many people. But as I'd mentioned, for the past 2 weeks the queue is really long. If it's going to be a long term thing then I think will just have to skip EGC altogether. sighh | |

| Try NSRCC's Exec Par 3 Course lah. Its a much better ones as compare to EGC. The fairway is nice, green is well maintain therefore much nearer to actual course. Especially to mention the green, there is break where you need to analyise the line and can practise your putting skills.
The only problem is, they sometime do check PC.
I usually go there alone if cannot find kaki to play 18-holes.
Price is almost near to EGC, just few more bucks more @ S$26+ for 9-holes.

| Yeah nsrcc's par 3 exec is good. Much more challenging to play. btw, weekends at nsrcc they often check for PC and I think PC from other places are not recognised. | |

| Weekend / public holiday rates at nsrcc par 3 walkung course is $42.50 for nine holes without trolley. In turn they will issue u a voucher of $5 off your next par 3 game, valid for use within a month. It's very well maintained. I practice my short game there once a while. Precision is key as the fairway is narrow and there's water hazard and bunker to welcome errant slice and draw. If it's not a busy, u should be able to finish 9 holes under 1.5 hours. | |

| No. It's par 3 all the way. The "longest" is hole 9 about 175m, if i can remember correctly. The shortest is hole 6, where u tee off from the sand bunker, 40m and 23m respectively. On good days, it's either par or bogey. On bad days everything can go horribly wrong on this par 3 course. | |

| I wonder why you guys kept going back there. My favourite short course is JCC Executive 5 Holes times 2. Not too ex at $32 or is it $33 in the morning session and sometimes can play extra holes if there isnt any other golfers around. Thumbs up for JCC. Best maintained Executive course in Singapore. Some even say Batam. Titu | |

| NSRCC is as good as JCC--maybe better in terms of undualting greens and having water hazards in front the tee off areas.
I play all three.
I f can play scratch or below on any of them, then can call them Micky Mouse courses.
I still cannot call them kiddie courses as the best I do is four or five over par on all three!
If can play less than 1 over or better, then I will cease practicing on them except for short chipping, pitching & putting practice.
FYI there are more ang mos at EGC (oftentimes ladies groups from some nearby country clubs I heard)

| Ah...thanks Clarence!
Btw...does NSRCC have any restrictions on no. of ppl to a flight?
Any advice on good timing/day to go to have a leisurely stroll and not be "chased" or be ducking balls? Thanks much!

| I usually go NSRCC Exec course in the morning (ard 10-12) or in the evening (ard 4-6)... not much ppl leh...
I think the exec there is quite under utilized cos usually empty unless there is student having their practise...

| Haven't had the chance to try JCC.
Yup, agreeable...It was really pack on weekends at Mandai. But, it got 2 Par 4, can try ur driver, NSRCC no Par 4 so it up to u to decide.
Strangely though, playing at Mandai, the course do have lots of longkang (drains). Ur golf balls sure disappears when it drops into the longkang.

smilez JCC got 2 Par 4s. NO. 1 and 5 holes, especially the no.5 hole. Simulate a real on the course type of par 4 with good distance. Die die must try like what Makansutra Seetoh always said. Titu
