I bought my travel bag from vinc golf. Orange/black padded one for 65. perry gear travel bag is padded too but cheaper think it's 49. I use Travel bag to keep everything in one place lest the zipper / hood is accidentally rip open during transportation. Not so much of theft prevention. again, it's personal preference, not a fixed rule. As long as we r happy, anything do.

Saw a blue canvas one at Bishan range Nike shop of $39. Didn't look close up though.

Just offering some further assistance on travel bags from past experience. I posted wat's below to a friend.

Two ways to look at it. Soft is light and hard offers protection.

Depends on which airline you fly. Find out wat is the max weight allowed per pax cos it includes both baggage and golf bag. I'm sure there are variations on the airline policies.

Max ex-Sing for me was app 25kg I think. Coming back fm bkk, they allow 30kg. So can vary one. Budget airlines like Tiger charge for the golf bag ($30) so make sure you check weight allowance.

If you like to travel with full clubs and lots of balls, golf bag and cover could add up to about 14kg, that is if you use cover padded on the top with roller wheels.

If you like to come back with lots of shopping, then suggest you go for soft canvas with some protection, padded on the top to help protect the clubheads, can further protect by wrapping towel around the shafts and club heads. forget about the roller wheels, they add weight. And anyway, only have to carry to the taxi when you leaving for the airport. Rest of the trip, will have trolley at airport, hotel will have porter, so no worries.

But please look for strong canvas bag that's padded on top. Strong material that don't tear, double or triple stitched straps so handles and sling don't tear off (usually the cheap ones, but not all). And also can be locked so you don't have anything stolen or fall out accidentally.

If can choose colourful one better still, then when come out of baggage belt, can see yours immediately. All black one, sometimes can be mistaken, even take wrong bag.

i dont have golf insurance though.btw i have been using the travel bag i got from vinc golf so far its has served its purpose for me...

i have been using porterline bag for very long time. when i go overseas, i change the soft top to a big hard top. best part is the bag itself is quite light.

i bought aia golf insurance

let me know if any of you gals wanna get golfers insurance, as my company represent AIG, NTUC, Liberty etc for all general insurance

I was pulling Kat's leg. Yes, golf insurance is more for lost/broken clubs/damaged buggy and also in case you injure someone in the course and you are sued.

Its good to have covered, incase of flying balls at the range or at green too

i si beh kia see. Bought insurance when i first learnt how to swing the club. Just in case my club or ball flies elsewhere n lands on someone. With aunty lucy. Havent made any claim yet, thank God; so crossing my toes until then.
