'Home' Ground Advantage???

Hi all,

Food for thought.
I can hit a decent score at my home club i.e 90 to 96. But when it comes to other courses......seem not able to re-produce likewise scores and instead scoring 100 and above.....why is that so?
Just wondering....if the mental aspect comes into play greatly.

as you already mention is home ground sure you are more familar and confident with it

when u go new places need more time and getting used to it

Just felt weird since I can score for home ground, meaning strokes are there. But when go new courses, just simply down the drain. Very demoralizing lah.

Or it could be your home course has a less challenging layout as compared to the others you've played at?

Bro,

Different courses have different course and slope rating. If yr home course, you are probably comfortable with the putting green, giving you more confidence.

Sometimes it is good to go around an play other course and give yrself opportunities to learn and play. Its part of learning. I think it is fun. Once you have gain more course experience like much of the sifu out here, everything will fall in place...

The universal term for it is "comfort zone".
