Yep, no problem......

I start (for a serious game) in the locker room stretching and loosing up, sometimes you will see the guys in the massage chairs. LCB has a small gym ball he puts between his back and the wall and does squats, so the ball is massaging his back at the same time working leg muscles..

After that it is the range, Sand iron first... just a few, as Rex said we are not trying to fix anything but see which swing came today.... (Greg Norman or Harvey Norman Very Happy )

A few mid irons, couple of Drivers, then Sand Iron again, I try to hit the Opening tee shot a few times...

Then a few chips, and some putts..... just to get feel, dont care if they go in... sometimes dont even use a hole...

This time before a game is so important for the brain...... if the shots are pure you tell yourself "today is the day".... confidence!!!!

If the shots stink you tell yourself, "well thats all the bad ones gone.... only good shots left"!! confidence....

The brain is your most important tool!!!!

Whole process should not take more than 45 minutes to an hour.....

Thanks much SH. Valuable information from you and Rex.

A process of which we are ignorant and too many of us neglect, then literally pay the price for, as Rex said.

Happy New Year SH!

hey guys

personally i find if you're really pressed for time or no range is immediately available (kranji sanctuary) then taking a couple of practice swings with 2-3 clubs really loosens you up.

hit a couple of pitches and chips, bunker shots if possible.

roll a couple of long putts to get a feel for the speed

end with holing a couple of 3-6 footers just to get used to seeing the ball go in, it'll do wonders for your pre-game confidence

as far as first tee jitters just focus on your target, making a smooth pass at the ball and letting it fly

hope it helps!

Personally prefer to chip and putt for feel and speed since most of the game is around the greens and I know I won't be on in regulation anyways. I find I play my best golf when i chip and putt well. Have scored great with bad drives and iron shots, but with good chipping and putting, never vice versa. The wedge and putter are the scoring clubs, golf's surgical tools of precision to get the ball in the hole in one less stroke than required.

You drive once per hole, woods, hybrids and irons too. But all don't get you within a 3 foot circle around the cup.

The wedge is your life saver to scramble for par or bogey, which is why we have 3 in the bag. And we putt twice per hole, so you do the math...

Very Happy

Best advice ever Smile
