| Where do u stay and where u usually range?
With the answers, The old birdies here can better suggest and recommend a range and coach for ur reference.

| There are a number of coaches in bukit batok range. all of them have different styles and price.
I think Fred of JT academy looks pretty decent.
*disclaimer: not related, nor have I engaged his services before.

| can recommend justin han if u willing to travel to Seletar.. i needed 6 sessions with him in 2013 to go from the state you describe to about 18 hcp..
Mostly around short game management, work around your flexibility and some stance changes to improve angle of attack

Like to seek some pro advice to get consistency in my swing. Is that ok? If so, let me know the rates and I also prefer 930am if possible.

| Jumping onto this to look for recommendations on a short game coach, prefably for 1-2 lessons on pitching/chipping/putting.
Major problems in my game is although I generally hit 6-7 GIR per round, but usually 40-45 putts per round resulting in high 90s/low 100s.

I used to have this issue (usually 3-4putts average) until I started practising putting at home. Spending abt 30mins each time to remember the Stance / Grip / Alignment. At least I have managed to reduce some strokes off my game.

My biggest prob is cannot gauge distance well, every round sure have 1 or 2 hole more than 4 putts.

| If u happen to stay around the west area, u can go Warren Country Club to look for Samuel Chan. He is very good with his short game.
As for distance gauging, u must also spend some time on the putting green to practise. "Feel" can only help u so much and when u "lose it" then u are done.

There are a number of good drills, and also it would be good to look at the putting technique to see how are your putting strokes.

| Hi, sorry to hijack this thread. First time posting here.
I'm a Singaporean residing in Australia and have been playing golf for awhile, but have had a layoff since my baby came along.
I'll be taking a 3 week break in Singapore would like to do an intensive, say 3 to 7 day lesson package to cover most areas of my game, especially my short game and course management. My official handicap is 14.4 but that has probably gone up due to my layoff.
Can anyone recommend a good golf coach in Singapore or perhaps in Bintan or Batam, or perhaps does anyone know of any clinics around April/May that I could join in?
Also happy to join in any games if anyone is missing a kaki.
Cheers | |

| Hmm. I feel that "good golf coach" is a subjective term. Firstly, different people digest information differently.
You need to find a golf coach who you can relate to on a "golfing level". Ive gone thru coaching from foreign and local pros and i personally find i can relate better to local pros.
Secondly, in this modern age, everyone loves tech. Ideally if you can find a coach who has a launch monitor and knows how to properly interpret the variables that'll be ideal. There's only so much you can assess with just your eyes.
Thirdly, if you want to do 3-7 days of intensive training, find a coach who can set up a lesson plan to focus on every aspect of your game. Driver, irons, short game , putting and course management. Ideally you'll want to do all that and top it off with an on course lesson.
I know of a golf pro who has a trackman 4 and is dedicated to his craft. If you're interested p.m me and I'll be happy to give you his number.
