| Guys I'm reopening an old thread Can you (or anyone) please share the feedback on the newly renovated Ria Bintan?
Compare to the previous original course, how do you think the renovated course compares in terms of Green speed Playing difficulty Course condition
Any tips or feedback welcomed
Thanks | |

| Played last Saturday 27 Aug
Whatever 'renovation' it's not visible
Green speed is around 8-9 on stimpmeter. It's not that fast because the greens are bumpy
Tee boxes are bad. You get some bare patches, some parts of the tee box, the weeds have overwhelmed the original tee box and they are not trimmed down flat.
Fairways are ok, some good patches and some not so good
Basically, the course has seen better days It is still scenic but condition was a far cry from its hey days

| I guess Mgmt has no Budget for extensive refurbishment. Even Horozon Hill is much better in terms of fairway and green condition. | |

| Concur with PocketAce. Was in Ria last month, and whatever renovations they did to the Ocean course is not visible. The tee box are still patchy and sandy. The fairways have not improved with plenty of bare patches. Lots of old divots still. And the greens are slow, playing around 9. Even the caddies fedback that they dont see much improvements to the Ocean course. Forest 9 is in better condition.
For the price of playing Ria, can get better golf in JB, especially with Horizon and Ponderosa. Also played at Daiman 18, and was peally pleasantly surprised. They have spent a lot on the course and you can see the improvements. The greens are great, with the overall course much better.
Back to Bintan,... anyone played at Laguna Bintan since the renovations?
