| hello everyone, just want to share an experience.
now im using the scotty x5. last week, i was caught in a huge downpour middle of my game. the rest of my flight mates decided to play on for awhile until we couldnt take the rain anymore and seek shelter. this was around hole 4 or 5.
all my clubs got wet during the rain.
so the rain stopped, and we continue with play.
at this time, the original stock grip was impossible to hold on to. it got really really slimey and stayed this way until long after the game. the grip on the rest of my clubs dried out after 2 or 3 holes. dry enough for me to play without a glove, which i usually do. im using standard tour velvet.
end up, i had to put on my glove while putting to have any sort of grip.
so im wondering if any other scotty players have this experience.. do super stroke grips perform better under similar situation?

| Great to know about this , was trying out my friends squareback with matador felt quite nice when dry though. Matador should be from Winn grip.. Previously my irons was fitted with Winn dri-tac loved e feel of the tackiness and softness but it's not durable though IMHO (after 2-3 months started to peel). On a side note if u changing grip for e putter better to check if ur current matador is counter/dual balanced , if yes have to find similar weight/specs/size etc grip to get E feel back | |

| The Superstrokes are hopeless when wet.
I've stopped using them cos I have sweaty palms and I struggle to putt on a humid day and it gets worst on wet days.
I'm using Pistolero's on my Scotty and it works fine even when wet......

| #Word, superstroke grips .
Sweaty palms is different from rainy days and since 2013 Superstroke has different textures to enhance the grip for our damp damp weather.
OP, agreed on the matador grips in wet weather. They do look amazing tho.
Golf_noob: is it all the same for winn winn type putter grips? No use in the rain?

| Hi maggiemee, for my experience on winn dri-tac grips as I like e tackiness previously is that when it's wet it gets more sticky but in e meantime slimy( nua nua) feel also cause if I'm not wrong most Winn tacky grips comes with a kind of coating . Caused I do washed my grips and previously after I washed with minor detergent after it dries the tackiness texture is gone . | |

| Golf_noob, same feeling with the scotty matador. its like trying to hold onto a fish..at one point, i decided to just do a michelle wie and hold on the shaft... that said, the grip is reallly good when dry.. especially when holding it in the golf shop~ anyways, thanks everyone for the input. i think i wld get it changed to the pistolero..because i want to keep the scotty name on the grip..vain la...not pro at least must look pro . any fitter stock this grip? feel not so important for me.. i change putter every other game.. lol.. key is ; the image must be maintained.... hahaha | |
