it is the hip thing... likewise when ipod classic first started, everyone wants one.. also like nokia, there was once when everyone wants a nokia. that's the definition of lifestyle. personally, i think htc hero is a better phone.

There's a lot more hype with the iPhone than necessary. Don't get me wrong, they're great phones (I've been using them since the plain vanilla 2G version). However, they're not for everyone. People love the Mac-lifestyle so they buy into the hype. It also helps that Apple's marketing is awesome.

it is also the fact that apple has more apps made available for download and people can do almost anything on it... plus it can be cracked and you can download all sorts of crap.

just my opinion only hor.. I think Blackberry is for people who are more toward for business needed and requird better message security..
consumer who like to see creativity, fun and style would love to get the iPhone.
l've experienced both products , each of them do have their selling point ..

When I went back for my annual ICT in Oct, I also noticed alot of the troopers using Iphone. But in the end I found out that it is China-made Iphone. Looks exactly like real Iphone!

blackberry helps you get connected with people around the world. It basically helps you feel connected to everything

iphone on the other hand is a entertainment phone, with mp3, apps, games and all for download.

I love my BB, but i cant say that i was never tempted to sway to a iphone instead.

Ofcouse both can do the job.
But I believe Mac can sync with iphone more seamlessly.
The thought of changing to Mac arises when I was amazed on how fun and intutive the iPhone was.
From there I was wondering did I missed out something from the Mac.

thats the reason why the share price is over US$200...and Steve Jobs still pay himself $1 salary. he is far from the richest in the world and the man is as passionate now as in the Lisa days. a little bit more business savvy perhaps but still a visionary.

all said and done...a lot of the stuff we see in the iphone today are developed in china.

lets put it this way....once you use an Apple, nothing comes close.

I didn't start with an iPhone but a Macbook. Now, everything is Mac/iPhone'ified. It's not just the technology, it's the perceived lifestyle (I stress "perceived"). Now, I'm sucked into the Temple of Jobs.

there is nothing "perceived" if you use it for what it is worth. you can be a lowly club fitter and still use an Apple. My friend a award winning copywriter gave up his high paying job in singapore, moved to Sydney with his family because he love the lifestyle. he now works in the 2nd biggest Apple store in the world selling Apple....

think about it....are you looking for the perks that comes with the job or maybe its power rather than money that you seek.

I am similar with Techno, starting with Powerbook. Love it and everything is so integrated. Apple produce hardware and software, hence everything works seamlessly. All u need is preinstalled, iLife that provides basic Video, Music, Photos and DVD editing. Let's admit it, u will take a 2nd or 3rd look when u notice someone using a Mac at Macdonalds Smile
