Valhalla in Louisville, Kentucky hosts this year’s PGA Championship. This prestigious old course will soon feature lots of thrill, drama and excitement, for the third time, as the biggest names of Golf will battle on to become the PGA Championship winner.
This year’s tournament will be the 96th PGA Championship and it will be played August 7-10. Winning this tournament, as it has been noted, gives a golfer many privileges including being invited to play in the three other major Professional Golf championships like the Masters, US Open and the Open Championship. He will never play again for a qualifier for the PGA Championship for the rest of his life as well.
One shocking development is that 2000 winner Tiger Woods faces uncertainty of participating in this tournament due to a back injury, and infinitybet has odds of 34 that Tiger can lift the trophy.
Regardless of that, one cannot disregard other Golf all-stars like 2013 winner Jason Dufner from the United States (81 winfinitybet) who carded a -10 to win his first ever championship with a two-stroke victory.
Other past Major winners in this year’s field include Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland (6 w infinitybet) andPhil Mickleson of United States (29 winfinitybet). The former is now ranked No. 1 in the world and just last weekend won the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, not to mention the British Open in July.
One also cannot ignore World No. 2 Adam Scott of Australia (13 with infinitybet) who won the 2013 Masters and this year’s Colonial.
Sergio Garcia of Spain (17 winfinitybet) is another top contender for this year’s tournament. The 35 year old Spaniard is ranked No. 3 in the World has been in the top 3 of this tournament several times and has a couple of runner-up finishes to his name. This guy is very hungry for the trophy.
All bets should be in for Rory McIlroy though. Dubbed to be the next Tiger Woods, or possibly better than, there is no stopping the man who has won 3 of the last 14 majors. His relaxed, calculated gameplay sure impresses the crowd, so we look forward to an exciting event, which will no doubt yield one or two surprises.
Infinitybet have a wide range of PGA Championship markets available. Prices correct at time of publishing.
