Should include 'Using or holding mobile devices while walking too!'
I have to avoid them so that i don't knock into them or they knock into me.
Very irritating at times..
What do you say?

Wondering If use "Map" app as GPS navigator also offence? Assuming it is placed on the adaptor, not holding.

Would you be penalized if the car is stationary while waiting for traffic light to turn green? scratch

When car stationary can used... I always reply text messages when stop at traffic light. but disciplined myself to put down the phone when light green. Nothing is urgent when driving.
Got one incident i was in traffic light and replying messages, then got horned when light green. I put down my phone, look behind no car, look left and right for traffic... and TP on bike just beside my right door staring at me... I just nod my head, smile and move on, step on my accelerator
I think he horned me and see if I step on accelerator without putting down the phone...

Some people cannot resist the temptation to answer phone calls whilst driving. Mad  I often told my colleagues off when they do that. If you can save lives by answering that call, then you have a legitimate excuse to do so. Rolling Eyes  If it's some calls that are unimportant and only concern work, it's best to leave it as it is and return the call after you have stopped your vehicle when it's safe to do so.

Even with the earpiece, it's still not safe to talk whilst driving. It's like multitasking, looking out for vehicles and thinking how to respond to the other party. And sometimes, if the driver might become emotional during the conversation and lose concentration on his/her driving. And then, BANG! Stretcher  By then it's too late.

This could be a dumb question but answering incoming call using ear piece / bluetooth device still allowed by law right?

That is still ok, but from what I understand (correct me if this is wrong) if you are using headset to answer phone but your hand hold on to the phone.. it is still consider illegal.

In the US if you cross at traffic junction talking on the phone the cop there will stop you issue a fine on the spot, SG should follow suit,  look at SG people today as if no phone can not survive!

Sending text messages during red light can or not?  Got people say cannot.

For incoming calls, I have earpiece on but I press the receive button on my hp, can or not?
If not, I press from my earpiece button, is that ok as in no violation?

I have been thinking, I better go buy a phone holder or mounting (I dunno what you call that) and "stick" it in front of me.  Now my hp is either on my left on the passenger seat or in the cup holder in front of the arm-rest.

Where do I go to read all these dos and donts?

this "act" is a good thing, just surprised it took so long.....

only concern is the number of "grey areas".
- does "driving" include when stopping at traffic light...
- what about navigation devices
- if i tap on my phone to reject a call while navigation?

It is best and safest to avoid talking on the mobile altogether when driving. 100% concentration is required when driving. Ask yourself this question,  "Is answering that phone call that important than your live or the lives of others?" People will never learn until an accident happen because of them.
If anyone claim they can drive safely and talk or text at the same time it pure BS. That's because an accident has not happen to them. Believe me, it will happen to them one day.
Think of your loved ones and the lives of others first before picking or making that call. There are plenty of videos on YouTube to show how accidents happen when using a mobile while driving.
Some people will never learn until an accident or a live is lost before they wake up. Rolling Eyes
If the call is really that important, find a safe place to stop your car to answer or return that call. I am very sure the other party will understand.
And by the way, using an ear piece is also unsafe because you are multi-tasking while driving. And that's dangerous, too.
