| We have all waited for this for such a very long time. Michelle Wie won her first major championship today, by winning the U.S. Open by two strokes over Stacy Lewis.
Michelle started the day in a tie for first place with Amy Yang. At the start it did not appear that this was going to be Michelle's day as she and her playing partner (Yang), both bogeyed the first hole. At that point in the tournament there were 6 players within 3 strokes of the lead. When So Yeon Ryu birdied 1, 2, and 4, she pulled within 2 strokes of the leaders.

| She has really come a long way these 10+ years. Now a graduate from Stanford no less, won a few tournaments on the LPGA, and probably commenting on how young some of the competitors are these days...she has paid her dues.
The relief on her face when she sank the final putt was palpable. | |

| Wie should have good surname in golfing industry. Wie = Wins (n+s, stepping two character together will be looks like "e". So, Wie is like wins. Good luck to her !  | |
