PostSubject: How low do you grip your golf club?   How low do you grip your golf club? I_icon_minitimeSun Dec 06, 2009 9:05 pm

Recently, I've realized that I may be gripping my club a little too high. I decided to lower my grip and found that I was more comfortable with the club but lost about 5% of my distance. I'm not complaining as I think I get better accuracy and comfort with this grip. I just wonder if it's too low or perhaps my earlier grip was too high.

I found some images on the web on gripping the club:

I'm now somewhere between A and B. The distance from the pinky of my left hand to the butt of the club is about 4cm.

Any thoughts? I guess I must have been wrong for a while but wanted to know how others gripped their clubs.

Cheers,
TS

Grip low for a runner, I think. Greater control and low ball flight.

I'm opting for a tweak in my grip to give me more control but at the expense of some distance. Hopefully, this works out Wink

bro, i were told grip longer doesn't mean longer....

reason for yr loss of distance might be u r not used to it...

if u can struck the sweet spot better, i believe yr distance will be same or longer... Smile
