Last night i saw TM Daytona being rates as best blade putter by mygolfspy.
What do you guys feel about this? I find MGS a bit biased against big names.

Their methodology is very prone to human error and is not statistically significant. However I do find its much better than GD that seems like a promoter and not a reviewer.

whats the general view on this?

On the contrary, I like the way MGS conduct their tests

They try to be as scientific as they possibly can and leave out subjective judgement where possible

Their reviews are backed up with stats, not biased by brands. I recall one time not too distant past, they had a spat against TMag. So they are not afraid to say an equipment is crap regardless of the reputation of the manufacturer

This test is on blade putter, which i feel is very personal. So I'll read it with a pinch of salt

I find Golf Digest Hotlist not very useful in comparison.

Sometimes, I wonder does all these ratings, regardless magazine or websites, do the manufacturers pay them to write more +ve?

From what I read, MGS is the lone dissenter on paid reviews.
They don't take any ads from the major clubmakers and even publishes reviews that might say bad things even.

Actually, if you follow mygolfspy they are a fairly unbiased lot....except for TM..they absolutely hate TM and think that they are all flash.....that's changed a little bit recently but they are the most objective equipment reviewer that I know of.....

TM actually it's not a bad club
just that it's always pricey when they launch new models
but less than a few months or max 1 yr another new model come out and the price got slash by at least 40%
very heart pain

so I normally got for titleist which I personally felt it's a better club and price very stable

for putter I don't spend monies on putter.
I'm using a scotty pro plat 1997 model
so it's all about feel. once you got the feel any club and every club can be good

that's my opinion
