The Strangest Swings in All of Golf

Majors winners etc etc..as long as you can hit....

My top vote goes to Charles barkley.. He totally defies the beauty of golf mechanics..

Lesson learnt: After playing with older uncles (coz I also uncle), I realise something - don't think so much about executing the textbook swing.... go with the flow and play to the swing that suit you. My older playing kakis have the weirdest of swing too but of course they played better than me!
But of course we shouldn't swing like Charles Barkley.....

Think 1 big mistake I did while learning golf was picking up the Tiger Woods book and try to learn what was taught in the book.....sigh...

(PS: Probably all the golf pros and coaches shaking their heads now! )

He's not the only one.....

I just wanna say Charles Barkley deserves a bit more credit. I respect him for still playing golf despite all the laughing and breaking of drivers. At least he hasn't given up.

He's a true sportsman as he has already proven in basketball. One day he will find his swing.

In case, u all did not know, hank Haney did a project to teach sir Charles how to golf. In an interview, one of his regular golf kaki mentioned during summer when sir Charles played regularly, he can easily play to 10-12 hcp. Then if he stop during winter, he'll play like . It shows practice make perfect.

I was very surprised to learn from one of the Oprah shows that interviewed Michael Jordan and where Charles Barkley appeared as well, that Charles was a very good golfer shooting scores of 75s prior to his swing "affliction" that came about after a teaching pro suggested to him to have a "pause" at the top of his back swing. For some unexplainable reasons, he got so affected by this suggestion that his swing just went bonkers and despite seeing the best golf teachers available, including sessions with Tiger Woods, he just could not correct it. When asked why he did not give up golf, his reply was "then I would be a quitter!". My utmost respect for the man!
