| just reshaft my driver and hitting it today, not so shoik (maybe its the shorter length and also forgot to check SW). In all the mishits, i manage to hit a few solid but the feel is not there. Remember need to run-in the shaft so wondering how long it takes? Now my backup driver gets better distance, accuracy and consistency . got game next week so not sure which one to take | |

| If my memory serves me correctly ... at least 250 balls .... or just pass to Ultraman and let him run in for you .. | |

| stick to your new driver. it will not work wonders immediately. But you got to get used to it. Mr. Lam is correct, it takes about 300 balls to really run in a shaft. In the mean time, in your 300 strike experience with your driver, you should be able to really understand your driver by the time u get there. if you do not range, then it is at least 21 some games before the driver is run in. Go to the range more or you can just leave your club at the den. It will have 500 hits by the end of the week. Or the flip side of it, is for one to get a pull out shaft. Already pre-seasoned. Just put it in, take, go and wack. | |

| Hi Bros,
thanks for the info as the shaft that I tried during the clubfitting felt much better that the newly installed one.
I just changed my shaft and it seemed to feel softer though the cpm was set to be higher than my old shaft. Just played a game with it and am quite please though i not hitting it as well.
however, the new shaft is sooooo much better than my stock shaft in terms of feeling the clubhead.
Will see what happens after I hit 200 balls at the range..

| Some people take a shorter time and there are some who take a longer time to adjust to their brand new drivers. I believe it primarily depends on your skill level. | |

| sometimes it takes a day, if you get the likes of MC, Slinger, BP, Shotah, The Rage, Ultraman, S70B and each hit 30 to 50 balls for you. BP and The Rage are the most effective of the lot because their distance is know to reach the 290m mark off driver.
My own PK was ran in in one day with the help of the above mentioned big hitters.

| For the record, after 18 games with minimal range sessions with it... I can happily declare that my baby is well seasoned.
Enjoying the full benefits of it now.

| Hi All, so does it mean that run-in of a new shaft is very much like a "technical" run-in, similar to say running in of a new car? Or is it much like adopting to a new "feel" for a new shaft? | |

| shwong2003, I'd actually say both.
You can see the performance of the shaft and you can feel it too!
