| i use a bushnell v3, non-slope. thought it was real easy to use. point, shoot and the distance pops out almost instantaneously, with the jolting useful in prompting distance acquired. | |

Like pinpoint the distance to the ball than to the flag?? I tried before. Not easy. If u are teeing off, What u can do is to find a landmark at the tee box, it needs to be tall enough and conspicuous enough for u to shoot at once u are at your ball. Then use the laser to shoot at it.

| Hi, just OT abit. In a tournament, either club monthly medals or some bigger tournaments, to my knowledge, slope edition will never be allowed.
However, for non-slope edition, is it always allowed or must it be explicitly stated in the tournament rules before we could lase?

| MT, technically not allowed unless there is a local rule that allows for it. So best to check with the tournament organiser before teeing off to avoid any issues.
Here's an article that gives some more insight into the use of distance measuring devices in competition.
