Avoiding Bangkok is advisable. Other parts of Thailand are not affected. Don't know the protesters are concerned about their country or not. Very politically unstable country.

Overall is ok, I was there recently and going again at the end of the month for personal and business matters. Just be vigilant I guess and definitely avoid the protest areas. At your own risk!

usually the thais are quite nice people and they would not disturb tourist during their protest. But to be on the safe side, do avoid large protest area incase fight brought out between protesters...For those going thailand, go with an open eyes and ears and find out from hotel staff on the situations before moving out...be safe than sorry...

Usually protest are held on the road outside the main shopping area like Central World, Siam Paragon, MBK, Chit lom (4 Faced Buddha)

Was back on Monday, and protest are usually held on weekends. Avoid them at all cost and stay away from the road, if you need to travel between these areas, please take the BTS.

Hi there. I was there in the middle of the protests last month.
I think the locals generally leave tourists alone.
Just be careful and avoid the protest areas.
