All that is needed is for someone to be on fire like him in Round 1 and the match will be a thriller.

3rd Round Leaderboard
Adam Scott -15 Keegan Bradley -12 M. Every -11 J. Kokrak -11 C. Hadley -10 F. Molinari -10 Ian Poutler -8 Ryo Ishikawa -7 M. Hoffman -7 F. Jacobson -7 J. Holmes -7
If TW played, I wonder where would he be ...
Most players would make use of this AP Mastercard tourney as a platform to prepare for the forthcoming Master Championship ... It appears TW's chances of lifting this major Championsip has dimmed ...

Look like Adam is playing a conservative 3rd round game. Probably hoping those who trying to catch up with him put pressure on themselves and mess up their scores ??

Adam Scotts himself will be under pressure to let a 7 stroke cushion reduced to only 3. Which Pro wouldn't want to have as much a cushion as possible going into the final day.

I feel that Adam Scott counted his chickens before they are hatched
After his 3rd round, he gave an interview saying that if he wins, then he will be world No.1
It's a shame, but It happens to the very best
So I take heart and won't beat myself up too much if my back nine implode on my regular sat game

Guess it is very common, when you palyed well, tendency you will hope for better. However, at the end, it screw you up more. It happened to many others who broke down after leading 3rd round....

I believe the pressure on Adam Scotts is too much to become Number #1. I would too if I were him.

Give that poor guy, Adam a break manz! He was down with a flu since the first day. It ain't easy to compete let alone focus & concentrate at this level when you are not 100% fit ... I got a feeling he might be picking up another Major championship this year (i.e. one of the fours) ... I know if one goes by tradition, it is almost impossible to wear the Green Jacket again on consecutive years ...

Maybe if he has been slightly more aggressive in his 3rd round he could have won..... He was doing so well for the first 2 rounds.. What a pity... was hoping he will win..

I'm sure you've all heard by now, but the winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational was MATT EVERY! first PGA Tour victory in 92 starts..... feel bad for Adam though, after leading every round, including an awesome 62 on the first day..... he finishes 3rd - we watched the tournament and it just looked like he couldn't get the speed of the greens yesterday. it was a tough day, the course dried out and was playing pretty firm and fast.
hope he can take some positives away from this week though and prepare for the masters! he needed to win the AP Invitational to become the #1 golfer in the world when the Masters begins, but now, Scott, Tiger and Stenson will battle for that ranking at Augusta.. .should be some fun golf to watch

Adam Scottt could had been ranked world number 1 had some of the putt gone in during round 4

hopefully it's not a sign that he is unable to play with the lead and close out tournaments.... twice now he's faltered when leading the tournament... royal lyntham and now bay hill... but we're sure he'll bounce back and have a strong showing at Augusta less than a month away!

Many sports are full of "if only". And it looks like the anchored putter is not helping him this time. This game is about feel and ability to read the correct green speed. That's all that matters. Many Pros faces the same problem, TW included, recently over the past few tournaments. The inability to close the match on a high has become quite common.
