| No offense to anyone with my last post..... But that is what happens to golfers when their game goes south, or they become commentators..... It really is amazing to me though, how many people say.... "well I am just giving up"! I still practice about 2 hours per day.... positive practice... anyone that goes to the range just to hit full swings with no purpose is not practicing... you are just giving the range money... There is not one Pro golfer that goes to the range too hit shots, we all go to practice, and that means to do drills to get better.... Getting better is drills drills drills.... if you are making a swing change, you cannot go to the range and do full swing after full swing and hope the change will suddenly appear... you do small shots or set drills till the feeling is natural.... It takes a long time and a lot of balls and disipline...... There are very few people who do this, so I am always amused when I hear the "I am giving up chant" | |

| Hey dran1xx, for your slice try this. If your grip is weak or neutral, its sometimes difficult to time when to start closing your clubface with your hands i.e. the hands flipping over movement past impact. The quick fix is to strengthen your grip, maybe see 3 knuckles on the top of your off hand, and keep this angle through impact. This minimizes the need to flip your hands through impact to close the clubface as its already square or closed at the top of your backswing. And if you swing inside to out with this strong grip its almost certain to achieve a nice draw shot. But an outside to in or a.k.a. a typical slice path would surely cause a double cross, or a pull hook. As for your friend's putting vendetta there's no quick fix. Its all about practice practice practice | |

There are very few people who do this, so I am always amused when I hear the "I am giving up chant" well said...... juz tht sometimes i feel so fustrated with me self tht i cant even have a normal proper swing(be it iron or driver) after i juz play quite well consistently for a couple of months... and my swing can juz fall apart juz like tht.... my score diff can be as high as 25??!!!!!! sigh........ maybe i m juz not cut out to be a decent golfer....

I was actually referring to what you would do midway through the game. You know, after 4-5 holes when you suddenly realize that no matter how good a swing, your ball is going to end up either in the bushes or get eaten up a roving crocodile. Things just aren't working out.
. Try declaring you lost the bet for the round, minize damage and just play your game without additional distractions. Works for me.

No one is judging you my man, the bottom line is YOU have to decide what you want from the game... and yes it is a game... If all you want is to go out with your mates once a week and enjoy nature, then accept it, you will shoot 100+ if you want to be competitive and shoot in the 70's then you need to work hard... That is life... decide what you want then go after it or resign yourself to the fact.....

i think u know miyazato better then me.. i think i better speak for miyazato before it gets out of hand cos i believe techno and miyazato did not say JT played 110s.. cos.. that's impossible!! the one that played 110s in one game, and the next game 90s.. is.. Miyazato.. anyway back to techno bro, i think u controlled ur emotions very well that day with just a few outbursts. i get pissed with myself all the time, and i think it's only natural to curse n swear at that moment (mloy can demostrate that very well! hehe..), but u recovered and came back smiling and that's admirable! i encountered people that gave black face thruout the game.. now, thats scary..
