| It took 2 years from concept to final development and the prototypes are out on tour starting from today....The new J-series is a custom shaft made for BFG who is also the regional distributor with fitting centres in Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam. It will be available by the 2/3rd quarter of this year. here's the prototype made for one or the top Asian players. As these are the prototypes, they are free of markings. here's our lead fitter, Krisanapong Namjaitheangtham, of CNX Golf in Phothalai Golf Bangkok, putting together the set for one of our good friend and favourite Thai Player...
The finished article....... Prom tried various weight and flex and what he eventually choose was a 6.25 flex of the unmarked J108 we hope to share more of the new J-series soon... the shafts will be in action at the Singha Masters in 2 weeks time and we look forward to revealing who else are using this.... | steelfiber shafts are so cool, we had a chance to take a look at some of them over the weekend at the Modern Golf Vancouver facility. maybe we'll get to test them out when we head over for a fitting

| The matt grey color on the shaft looks cool but I dislike the yellow patch which is a big distraction to me when I look down to address the ball. Thats why I would request the brand label to be pasted away from my sight when I address the ball. In addition, it spoils the overall looks of the shaft ... Maybe thats me. Perhaps the performance of the shaft more than make up for this unsightly yellow patch ... | |

| more pics... one of Malaysia top golfer...... ant this one needs no introduction.......since its in National colours. it took 3 hours to assemble and built and its a mathematical puzzle to put together. the shafts are handpicked and matched to the head weight, 8 grips selected from 53 (all weight in by the man himself) and in the end, they all came in at 7g +/- 1 g increment per club and all sitting at D3, except for the 3 iron which was D2.75. Even Mardan was impressed. unmistaken Golf Pride Victory for tour use only....... since the prototypes are out, we can now tell you a bit more about them....they are lighter and plays to a lower torque at the butt while retaining the signature flex 10 to 12 inches from the tip. looking forward to March/April DGman | |

| Woah!
I have been meaning to change one of my sets to try a c9 swing weight.
Looks like I will "camp" at this topic for a while.
