Golf courses near Baan Amphawa resort and spa (Thailand)

Traveling to Amphawa next week.
I really don't know where is Amphawa as it's my first time there.
Anyone can advise or recommend any good golf courses near Baan Amphawa resort?
I intend to play 2 rounds there.

Also, does Thai airways allow golf bag on top of the allowable 20kg check-in luggage?

I was told there is a floating market nearby.
Think it's called Mae Klong River....

Wah very fond memories of that place. Spent a weekend there, shopping, eating, take boat out daytime to visit temple, take boat out at night to watch fireflies. Stay at some very homely accommodation. Really enjoyed the floating market. It' very local unlike the very touristy Damneon Saduak.

Sorry bro after ranting so much, I don't know any golf courses nearby. That time I haven't caught the golf bug yet.

If you google map it I'm quite sure you can see if there are golf courses nearby.

I think the 20kg is inclusive of the golf bag. Meaning to say if your bag weighs 10 kg u only have 10 kg for other stuff. They will weigh your golf bag at the check in and direct the golf bag to the oversized counter.

20kg inclusive of golf bag?! Gosh.....

Night boat ride to fireflies watching; read it and definitely going for it.
But I am also keen to golf.

Nearest is Best Ocean Golf and 20 kg include golf bag.

Now in Bangkok, weather great for golfing, why don't you used google map to track the golf courses. Someone mentioned best ocean, u can try thana city behind the airport too.

Don't worry la, golf bag not that heavy. Usually mine is about 7kg. Just lighten the load abit lo. Take out clubs that you seldom use, bring less balls, if you use used balls they usually sell quite cheap there. Clothes can get there also so pack abit less lo. I think should be fine la 20kg usually sufficient for me

Then maybe I have to change my cart away for this trip. I think my complete set with balls and travel bag easily weighs 14kg....

Did not ask u to go hua hin lah. There are many good courses in Bangkok. Riverdale is great and so is Maeng kaew.

Baan Amphawa is not here nor there....
So far Sawang resort and golf, Royal ratchaburi and Best ocean golf are about 50km away.... The rest are kinda far...

Best ocean is quite good. I saw on google there's a ekachai golf also too. Anyway it's not too far lah for 50km

Bro, forget about Ekachai (chicken farm). Just play 2 round at Best Ocean if you stay 2 night at Amphawa coz Amphawa day time you really got nothing to do beside swimming in the resort pool (small pool), floating market only start in the afternoon.

50km sound far but that road is straight without traffic light, it wont take you much time to go and back.

Not only golf, must go Don Hoi Lod for seafood too.

Actually since u will be there 4 nights, why don't plan either first or last day play on a course near airport before going to airport. So many courses near airport.

I tagging along with my wife, she needs to go Amphawa.
Hard to split up the trip.... 
It will be my first time playing alone!

You can always ask the resorts to pick your wife and take a cab to golf course. Anyway during this time of the year, best is don't tee off after 1330. Anyway in Thailand, u can never be alone. You can ask for 3 caddies.

My wife say I can only take lady boy caddy....
