| During a game there on 23 Dec, my caddy and I were attacked by bees at Hole 2 putting green of the Island Course. Caddy must have angered the bees there when he went into the wooded area nearby to look for my lost ball. Before we knew it, a number of bees were upon us and we had to speed off in the buggy. I was fortunate enough to receive only 1 sting on my ungloved hand. Caddy had some on his head. Reported the incident but not sure if they have taken care of it or not. Those playing there pls beware. | |

| That's the downhill hole with the second shot over water to the green right?
The beehive is between the black and blue teebox in the trees by the cartpath on the next hole. They were swarming around the tree a few months back when I was there. One minute they were swarming, next minute disappeared.
I was just back there last Sunday before you but didn't see them, guess I was lucky.
I think they are hornets, not bees. Thought I saw black and yellow striped abdomens, but I didn't get close enough to confirm. More dangerous cos they don't lose their stings and die, but can repeatedly sting you.

| After such an incident, methinks the club would have done something about it.
Should be safe to play. Else just be careful when approaching that hole.

| Hmm, not second shot over water. It's hole 2 of the Island course, a downhill par 3 hole with tee box overlooking the putting green with some trees to the right. The ones that attacked us were bees. I had to remove the stinger from my hand. | |
