| This comes as a shock to me as anybody else. . My good old eye surgeon just diagnosed me to have been infected to have this unusual eye disease called microsporidial keratoconjunctivitis. The most common way of infection is soil mud or water contamination directly to the eye, and I recalled having some soil getting into my eye one golf game some time back.. The incubation period maybe 2-30 days.. Thus you'll only be alarmed by the redness of the eye much later. . This infection affected some rugby players one year ago through games. So far all had recovered. . Thus, take heed when you take some divots off your shots. . Quickly wash your eyes when that happens. . The good news is it is very unlikely to spread through human contact. . Stay healthy guys !! | |

| During the game, it's always good to wear some sun shades to protect the eyes from the bright sun and also from the sand and mud. | |

| bro chien - sorry to hear about this. Speedy recovery!
So what are the symptons? Like sore eyes, itchiness, teary or? How long to recover?
One thing I always do without fail after every round is wash my hands with soap even if I want to have a meal at the clubhouse or not.
Take care bro! | |

| Good to pack some disposable saline in the bag in case sand/mud lands in the eye | |

| Thanks guys. . It's easily contaminated by soil or dirt in contact with your eyes. . With or without hands. . Haha. . Symptoms like normal sore eyes. Red, a bit discomfort n slight blurriness of that eye.. Doctor said usually takes 2-3 weeks to recover. . Game on TS, n One Eye Jack not giving you an easy game Andrew ! Haha. . | |
