Hey all, just thought I'd start a thread on the new Taylormade line of woods that will be released around December 2013. It's called the JetSpeed line and will be replacing the current RBZ Stage 2 line of woods.
The JetSpeed line of woods will feature a driver (the first with the speed pocket technology), fairway woods and hybrids. TM had a craaaazy media day intro, chartering a private G6 jet for media reps from Carlsbad, CA and introducing the new line in flight! They landed in Las Vegas at the new TM centre down there and doing some on course testing right now... here's a preview though, will update this thread as soon as more info comes out
uploaded a lot of pics here: http://www.eighteenunderpar.com/taylormade-jetspeed/

Dunno what's with the Matt grey colour....but it is sure not for me.
Rather surprised they are not launching that sooner in 2014

Looks like TM upped the ante in face of competition from Callaway recently Perfect timing for X'mas, never mind the fact of many countries covered in snow in December and some buyers cannot game their new Jetspeed clubs
The proof is in the pudding, the marketing blah blah can only push sales that far. Thanks for sharing!

The design looks more conservative & less frivolous this time round ...

Looks like 2009 Burner with a facelift.... wonder what new tech in place for Jetspeed. TM still leads in innovative golf design - effective or not is another question.
18, Thks for the update!

can't keep chasing drivers.
3 drivers and 3 sets of golf equipment in my home but only 1 player (myself) and not so many days leave and dont have the skill to max the technology in each driver/iron set.
come to a point where I must use logic and refrain from another purchase.

i don't know about the technology or performance, but as far as the design and looks are concerned, i think TM is regressing.

The TP version Burner Superfast head (inverted cone) looks more like Jetspeed head (pear shape) but the non-TP version of Burner Superfast head is more triangular in shape. The graphics at the top of the head is very similar to Burner Superfast ...

I'm beginning to think TM name their products after the way they are introduced into the market. Maybe the R&D guys forgot to tell the marketing team that the name SLDR is only a code word and not the way they will "slide" this new product into the market for a few months only to be replaced by a new model.
I reckon Jetspeed is another R&D code word for the product that will be discounted and replaced "at jetspeed" by yet another new driver in February.

Just thought I'd bring this thread back alive, I got a chance to meet a TM rep here in Vancouver and tested SLDR, JetSpeed and Speedbladez.
Hit the Jetspeed driver and 3 wood today, first impressions, it really reminds me of my old Burner Superfast driver and 3 wood, especially the graphics on the top. The stock shafts felt very similar as well. The club head itself on the Jetspeed driver and 3 wood feels lighter compared to the SLDR and really promotes speed.
Personally liked the SLDR driver/fairway wood more than the Jetspeed. I prefer the heavier head and weighting of the SLDR driver/fairway woods and overall, just felt like I could control it a bit better than the Jetspeeds, but they were fun to hit!
Another quick note, I'm playing the X18s right now and hit some of the Speedbladez as well, these things launch HIGH! Never seen any of my shots launch that high before, so that was interesting. Not the biggest fan of the sound at impact though, more of a "cracking" sound even though it feels pure.

TaylorMade is probably busy picking names for their 2015 launch. Some ideas for them :
