hey everyone!! did any of you catch the 1 on 1 match between tiger and rory yesterday? they played at mission hills haikou blackstone golf course, which looks amazing. i uploaded a video showcasing the course and the entire resort online - it's not on youtube, so i don't know how to attach it onto this post..... sorry!
rory ended up beating tiger by 1 shot again (he beat tiger by 1 shot last year too), shooting at 6-under 67. his swing is looking a lot better and shots are becoming much more consistent. he's raving about the new COVERT 2.0 driver (8.5 degree, 460cc head as he said) and the new RZN BLACK golf ball he's testing for nike right now.
if you missed the match, see below!! looks like the video starts to play around the 2:26:30 mark!

Tiger used alot of foul languages in his conversation and swearing after a bad shot ... (e.g. f*#king ass-hole) without a doubt he was a bad role model for the kids ... He prolly forgotten that he was on the mic ... And he can't stop spitting on the course ... OMG!

I watched the video, thanks for sharing. man, it must have been quite a circus, with cameras clicking non stop thru out their backswing
even the marshalls and security personnel, in their over zealousness were waving their "Keep Quiet" hand signs in the middle of the players' backswing hilarious to watch at times It kinda made the 16th hole at the TPC Scottsdale look like Mickey Mouse in comparison:whiteflag:
I guess this being an end of season, money-grab event, nothing at stake except for personal pride. They must have been told to ease off on the 'silence please!' or 'no cameras' rule.
China is still at the infancy when it comes to golf, although they have been able to groom some great players eg Zhang Lian Wei, Feng Shan Shan and the prodigy Guan Tian Liang.
The Chinese golfing spectators would probably need a bit of education to master the spectators' DOs and DON'Ts in the same pace (if not more) as their Chinese professional golfers who mastered the game of golf and competed at the highest level

Tiger can't complain (noises/distraction from the crowd) as he was paid a whopping US$2M juz to appear in this exhibition match ... Obviously he would not be taking it very very serious versus when he plays in a Major Championship or other PGA Tourneys ... Of course he has to act serious during the match ... I guess Rory was only paid a fraction of Tiger's package ...

crowds were crazy and definitely seemed like a wild day on the course. looked like they did a pretty decent job with security and with crowd control though

I expect a different level of crowd control and spectator behavior in this week HSBC Champions at Seshan CC
It is a proper event with more than pride at stake

I wonder how a 5 ft 9 inches guy like Rory who can drive the ball further than a 6 ft 1 inch guy like Tiger ... Awesome ... However, I believe Rory has to change his swing style when he reaches Tiger's age ...

Turbo bro, its the technique tat drives him into world no. 1 before. And he ll be again soon... I ve witnessed during the previous Punggol Range longest drive contest tat a chap drove 301m on the nflight n straight straight! Eventually he s the overall winner with 280m+ straight drives!

this might help explain rory's swing and power :)Sport Science is a really cool show over here in north america!
and here's a cool slow motion PGA Tour analysis of his drive!

Bro, TW also has tonnes of techniques but still lose up to Rory's driving distance and in addition, he is straighter than Tiger off the tee in the Mission Hill exhibition match ...
Wow! 280 m and above is tour pro standard ... I've a Korean pal who is slim and 1.73m tall, but he drove in excess of 270m (carry) at one time ... On average, his drive is about 250m (carry) ...
