What happen if a golf and country club Cease its operation

Wonder what will happen if a golf and country club land lease is up and the club decided to close?

Will the members get any $ back?

One of my friend told me that It was written in terms and conditions of a golf club membership that he bought that all remaining $ in coffers will be donated to charity when the club folds. 

I think so far, this question has not been discussed before.

I guess it come down to is it a members club or proprietary club. Members club, can said they want to do with it's sinking fund. Proprietary, member got no said.

it depends on the club's constitution.

i know of one club where should it cease to operate, it is stated in its constitution that all $ will go to charity.

back then when seletar base golf club closed due to land acquisition (after i paid my annual due), no refund but i dont even know where e $ goes (i mean which charity organisation)

Seletar Base? I thought that's term members only. missed that course!

Keppel is spending money doing some upgrading of the course so that the members can enjoy enjoy playing there in event they are not given a new site.
