Turf city range to cease operation as of yesterday?

Is it true?

Where did you hear it from ? Only renovated recently

We have "Ivan Golf Fitting" who is stationed there and in this forum.

So Ivan, is that true?

They just started operation not too long ago after some renovation....

i think they close for the week because ivan was working at the barclays Singapore Open club fitting !

Just went there today. Totally nobody there but balls still can be dispensed. The sms received after dispensing the ball says:

Range closing 30/11
Current Balance = S$xx.00
Please use up yr credits

Really? They should at least send an sms to inform all regarding this.

I thought so too... No one is maintaining the range now... Extremely dirty... I'm wondering if no one is there to refill the balls, how are we going to use up our credits?

No worries guys, it's just for a short term only.

Once the administrative stuffs settle, an announcement will be made soon.

I am closed for the Barclays this week & back in operation at Turf City Range next week.

WAs there last Friday. (damn those mozzie bites.... arghhh!!)

Apparently there are several issues.

due to safety reasons, the range has to closed and the new net towers which meets safety standards needs to be in place before the permit to operate the range is to be granted. apparently its not high enough and balls have gone where its not supposed to go.

there might have been a termination of the contract by the venue operator and the range operator.

from what i can sense, the current operator is ready to throw in the towel but he has promised to respond to those who call and will make refunds.
