Anyone watches it yesterday, it went viral on internet. Crazy man shouting in library that MINDEF had to come out and say this guy not no longer had NS liability. Really embrassing for NSmen or Ex NSmen

Hey guys, how about we give him a break?

In today's internet age, it is so easy to share content like this. But a lot of times, what we can see from the short snippet is only one side of the story and we don't have the full context of the incident.

On the same token, spare a thought for the guy and his loved ones. How would you feel if you are the person in question, mouthing off when you were pissed about something and then being filmed secretly?

I feel that if you want to look at such videos, it is okay because we are curious by nature. However, we shouldn't add on to it by circulating/ forwarding it. (Afterall, this is a golf forum).

I hope I haven't offended anybody with this, but I do extend my apologies if I have done so.

I don't think he deserves a break. Whatever transpired in the background is no longer relevant. The recipient of his abuse apologized several times. Yet, this guy went on shouting, abusing & threatening him.

What if the recipient of his abuse was your loved one? How would you feel if your son/brother/friend was subject to this kind of treatment?

I agree that this is not uncommon in the army but really, I think this chap went too far. Way too far.

If nothing is done to him or his behaviour tolerated, what kind of message are we sending out to the general public? That such behaviour is acceptable?!
No way!!!

Sorry for my poor writing skills, but my main point is that we should be more careful with our tendency to share/circulate this kind of videos/news without too much thought and consideration. For eg. in this case, this guy might be "mentally disturbed" (sorry again, I can't think of a better word to use), but again I am not condoning his actions.
 
Aiyah, what I am trying to say is that it is okay if we talk about this kind of things in the coffeeshop, during lunch with our colleagues, at the pantry or out in the golf course etc., but we must be more careful about circulating/forwarding things via the internet.

Anyway, I shall stop here now because I myself is adding on to more talk about this incident by talking about it here. peace...

Actually someone mention on MINDEF website saying this "SAF, I am a NSman and I feel offended that someone like him is impersonating the organisation I serve in such a derogatory manner. Please pursue the matter as it is as demeaning as the recent marketing failure by natgeo. I serve to be respected like a samurai of feudal japan not a clown."
