Last time I played at the resort course I thought it was a bit average as far as the condition of the layout was concerned. How is it playing these days.

Just played at allamanda last weekend. It is pretty good, above average imo. and a improvement compared to previous years. Some bunkers are still horrific but mostly playable.

Can't say much about the other courses though, haven't played in awhile.

My feel is that all 3 courses @ Palm Resort are above average compared to most of other JB's offerings... esp riding in relatively new electric buggies with good tyre grip Smile

Alamanda being the best in terms of upkeep since its a buggy-on-track only course... Also it is v pretty and picturesque with 2 signature holes #2 and #15

Next would be Chempaka, a long and most challenging winding Championship course, generally well maintained cept for numerous GURs due to wild boars digging for food.

and Melati being the third in line ... It was originally slated for residential development n to me appears slightly neglected (seems to hv more GURs) but nontheless v playable..It is also designated a linked course (where u need to tee off at Hole 1 and no one is allowed to start off from Hole 10) probably due to a lack of marshal enforcement there....

Cempeka and Allamanda in Palm Resort are considered respectable courses in JB ... Albeit they are not in the top 10 courses in Asia ...

Played Cempeka on Thursday. Was raining heavily that morning so the conditions were really soggy and bunkers were waterlogged. Coupled with buggy on track, it was a tough day at the office.
